The college always creates rank holders in every degree. The college is a one-stop for students who are oriented towards academics. The course structure and all the professors were the main attraction of my 3 years journey at SKGS College.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure was pretty vast and apt with the university standards. The labs are pretty decent and most of the learning happens there. The course also helped in establishing a base for the master's program.
Placement Experience
The placement is pretty ordinary in our college. There was some assistance provided by the faculty members for the dos and don’ts of interviews and GD rounds.
College Events
The college is also equipped with EDUSAT technology which transforms the traditional classroom teaching into an interactive classroom with the help of satellite technology; it offers several courses such as teacher training and interactive classroom with a greater range of subjects for the students of the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is quite nominal in comparison to other colleges. The college offers central computer facilities, internet browsing, printouts, and photocopying unit.
Campus Life
The college has a well-stocked library, active units of NCC and NSS, Career Guidance Cell, Counseling Cell, Anti-Ragging Cell, Anti-Harassment Cell, Entrepreneurship Development Club, Film Club, Nature Club, and Tourism Club.
Admission
The admission process is curated by the Calicut University. They organize a common admission process (CAP) for seat allocation. The students are called on the basis of rank in the list.
Faculty
The faculty was pretty decent and most of them were highly qualified. The faculty ensured that they bridged the gap between the theory and practical syllabus. We also had dedicated training sessions for the UGC NET which was an added plus.
