I'm in my 3rd year B.Tech now.The course curriculum is exceptionally good here.And talking about the exam structure,we have 3 CIAs(internals) here for 50 marks each.Best of 2 will be taken in to consideration.The marks you got out of 50 is multiplied with 0.4 to get marks out of 20.Since only 2 CIAs are considered,the total will be out of 40(20+20).A maximum of 10 marks will be given based on your assignment/quiz/seminar etc.,So the grand internals total will be out of 50.The semester exam will be out of 100 marks.The awarded marks out of 100 will be divided by 2 to get marks out of 50.Therefore,The grand total will be out of 100(X/100).Considering the total marks you get,respective grades were allotted namely S,A+,A,B,C,D,E,F S:91-100(10 points) A+:86-90(9 points) A:76-85(8) B:66-75(7) C:56-65(6) D:50-55(5) F:less than 50(fail-2) E:exposure(absent-2).

The placements and job opportunities here is quite good.The placement percentage was about 90% last year.This year,it may rise further.Yes,our college provides internship.But I haven't been a part of it.

Events!! Here we have a number of technical and cultural tests in our college. TECH EVENTS:- DAKSH:This is the biggest tech event of our college.All the schools join and contribute in this event.I was one of the organisers last year.Then,We had events like CAD master,Geo genius etc.,(related to civil as I'm a civil student).And the other schools have various events too.It's a huge learning opportunity for the Indore and outdoor students to participate and indulge themselves. And we also have national level technical symposiums like Hinges(Civil),Electra(EEE),Sankalp(Mech),Cape(BIOT and Chemical) etc., organised by the respective schools. CULTURAL EVENTS:- KURUKSASTRA is the best cultural fest of our college where you can find food stalls all over.We have big celebs coming to our college and performing.It's a fun filled time. In addition to this,We also have colloseum(sports fest) and Carpedium(arts).

Yes,the fee structure is feasible when we compare with the other colleges around.The average semester fee is around 60k which is quite affordable.The mess and losing costs are external.Mess fee-3.5 to 4k/month and the lodging fee varies with the hostel you choose(10-20k/year).

Yes,SASTRA provides scholarships for the merit students.Every scholarship is based on merit here.If you are among the top 1% of the students,you will surely get your mess fee refunded.And when you get into your second year,you will have this opportunity to get Dean merit scholarship if you have about 8.5ygpa in the before year. I got Dean merit scholarship when I was in my 2nd year.

SASTRA provides enough facilities and opportunities for the athletes to shine.We have good grounds for football,handball,volleyball,basket ball,cricket etc.,We had a big cricket ground a year before but the authority taking up some construction work now.So presently,we don't have a cricket ground in our college.Talking about labs,we have almost all types of labs related to the course.The faculty takes special care that every student should performs the lab work perfectly.U know what,our college have about 8 total stations in our surveying laboratory which is the highest in Tamilnadu.

Yes,I live in hostel.The hostel life here is quite good.As you are spending so little on hostel,you can't expect luxuries here.No A/C.But you can adjust.Coming to the infrastructure,about half of the boys hostels are old buildings.Girls have good hostels compared to boys.You have all the facilities in the hostel for living and studying.

Yes,the alumini has been really helpful for the present students.We even have WhatsApp groups where we discuss about the career opportunities with the alumini.Some of them are settled abroad.They give all the suggestions for the students who want to do their further studies abroad.

I've applied to this university as I've been hearing about it since my 10th grade.I applied to the college based on my 12th marks.There are 2 streams for getting admission.Stream-1 is based on your 12th marks(75%) and JEE mains score(25%).Stream-2 is purely based on your 12th marks.I got in to the college through Stream-2.After you apply,they will make you know if you are eligible for the counselling or not.Ranks will be allotted based on your score in both stream-1 and 2.You can attend both counsellings(stream 1 and 2) if you wish to.Based on the seats available,you can select your desired B.Tech programme.

The faculty here is really friendly.All of them have a PhD mostly.They are experts in their respective field.The teaching techniques here are very interesting and interacting.Faculty use PPT to make the concept easy to understand.The students will be allotted a mentor with whom they can discuss whatever happens in their academic life.
