VRSEC -first private engineering college state of Andhra Pradesh

the college provides different sources to students to grow in there career.our college stood at 171 rank in national wide college rankings. our college has MOU with different organisations and companies like AICTE Magardharsan,Simmens etc.our college has NBA and NAAC accreditation.

The course curriculum is designed based on factors industries requirement,future trends, technologies etc.For every 4 years the college regulation will be updated based on the requirements.the course curriculum is designed by a group includes professors, industrialists,allumini,few industry related persons.My opinion on my curriculum is,our curriculum helps to a below average student to build his career in what the way he has choosen.the curriculum includes all the necessary things related to students.Apart from sports,extra curricular activities are also part of the curriculum. For each semester we have to study 6 subjects and 2-3 labs.In every semester each subject has 4 units. For every semester, each subject carries internal marks 30 and external 30 marks.the interanal marks will be awarded through 2 assignment tests and 2 sessional test. Each assignment test has 10 marks and each sessional has 15 marks and home assignment carries 5 marks.from 2 assignments scores they took 2/3 mark from highest score and 1/3 mark from other test.this will be evaluated for 10 marks.simillarly for sessional too but it will be evaluated for 15marks and the remaining 5 marks for home assignment.the external exam will be evaluated for 70 marks.

Coming to placements, the companies visited are mostly software related companies.around 70% to 80% students will be placed from whole college.the packages are mostly in range of 3LPA to 5LPA.But there are few companies selects 100 -150 students with packages 6 to 8LPA and finally the good news about placement is the software giant Microsoft vists our college every year and selects 3 to 5 students with 12LPA.the companies visiting our college are microsoft, Deloitte,NCR,Epam,mphasis,TCS,IBM,CTS, Capgemini,Wipro, Infosys,value labs etc.every year around 100 to 120 companies will visit our college to hire students.

Every year we celebrate different events like 1. Freshers party - it's a welcoming party to first years into our college and department.Every year 2nd year students organise the freshers party to first years. 2.Department fest - this is a kind of welcoming party for 2nd years into department. in this event there will be both technical and non technical events.This event will be organised by 3rd year students.this is the event which helps 2nd year students to interact with 3rd and 4th year students.the funny part of this event is there will be friendly ragging among the students. 3.Engineer's day event - in this event we will exhibit all the projects that we have done during the academic year.we invite different college,school students to visit the project expo.at the end of the day there will be prizes for top projects. 4.College fest of 2- AFOSEC is the official name of our college fest.its a 2 days fest.the 1st day is especially for technical events and different game and food stalls.the 2nd day is only for cultural events. 4.Literary fest- this event includes different literacy events like essay competition,JAM,Group discussions etc. 5.Annual day - in this event there will prize distribution for students and teachers for accadamic achievements and continued by cultural events. 6.Farewell day - end of the year, giving farewell to out going students.in this event recollecting memories of there btech life.bunks,backlogs,friends etc.

The fee structure will be decided by the government of AP for the students selected through emcet. The fee decided by the government is rupees 102000 per year.there are scholarships for students who secured good ranks in emcet.the government will provide scholorship for students.the college management provides Siddhartha sahaya scholarship for merit students who secures top ranks in emcet through interview.

Don't expect much in extracurricular activities.there are extracurricular activities but not that appreciable.every year there will be inter sports competition.the winners will be awarded prizes during annual day.labs are part of the academic curriculum for every semester there are 2 -3 labs.

The hostel facilities for boys are not that good.but girls it's okay.in hostels they provide only basic needs and nothing much than that.the food is also average.the fee for hostels are around 50k per year.

Every year the college management invites alumni and senior students to college to interact with the students and they will share there experiences and current techlogies required to the industries.the alumni interaction and seniors interaction gives boost to to the students to prepare for the placement events.

To get an admission in V R Siddhartha (shortly vrsec) have to take AP EMCET entrance test conducted by Andhra Pradesh Government.After releasing the emcet ranks we have to opt our choices of different Colleges. Based on our rank the admission will be decided. The government will fill the seats in 3 counselling rounds.To get a admission in CSE branch the rank must be below 10,000. There may be different cutoff ranks for different categories.The college management has 25% seats which will be filled through Donations.

In each department there are nearly 7 to 10 professors and 15 to 20 asst. Professors and 15 to 20 associate professors.some faculty are student friendly. Some faculty always helps student to take correct desission at correct time.some faculty uses students and grow themselves in there career.my overall opinion on my faculty is 3/5.
