College review

Positive ones are that it's surrounded by a lush green environment so you will find a lot of fresh air and fresh environment. Here you will get all types of food to eat based on your choice. The negative point is that here you can get alcohol, drugs, etc.

It's autonomous college so decides it's own curriculum and take exam on it's own. Thus it's far better than GTU old syllabus. The curriculum is recently modified in 2019 to level it with modern trends in technical field.

The placement is not so good to boast but average. Yes, colleges do provide internships in-house plus have Mou's with different industries and foreign institutions to provide training. This is among a few colleges which are centrally funded under TEQIIP 3 supported by the World bank so you will get a stipend, allowances for your internships.

We have different tech and nontech fests celebrated. There are different committees like the Central committee, IEI committee, Tpc committee, departmental committee, clubs that organize fairs, seminars, fest regularly. For eg. Udaan, Genesis, know-how, Donna, Women conference, etc.

It has both Self-financed and govt. Seats so fees vary accordingly. In govt. The college's fee structure is almost the same all over Gujarat. Sfi seats fees are also reasonably good. Other fees include fest fees, exam fees which are also minimal.

You will get different loans. Some state-level scholarships like MYSY Scholarship, Digital Gujarat Sebc scholarship. Centrally funded scholarship for armed personnel and cast-based scholarship College have alumni scholarship, Cvm scholarship.

Here labs are far better than other colleges. We have a working boiler and furnace in the Mechanical department. There is a lot of scope in sports. We have a ground called Shastri maiden where you can play any sports, usually, we play cricket and football for relaxation after class

Yes, govt. Hostel and infrastructure are not so good but livable. It has all the basic facilities of WiFi, hot- cold water, mess(optional). The room has three occupants. A new hostel is under construction which will offer an Ac facility.

The Alumni network is quite strong, spread all over the world with the motto 'Once a bvmite Always a bite. Here seniors are very supportive. I have not encountered a single incident of ragging or anything misconduct done here.

I studied at the GSHSEB board of Gujarat so it will be accordingly. To get admission here, a body called ACPC (state level)will roll out a merit list based on 11-12th board result+ Gujcet (Gujarat common entrance test)exam marks. Thus based on this merit list, we have to fill our choice in admission procedure centrally governed by ACPC. Thus I got admission based on my ranking in merit list and choice filling in the desired stream.

Faculty are very experienced here. A rule is proposed where every faculty need to be a Ph.D. holder. It's the oldest engineering college so most colleges in Gujarat follow a curriculum designed by their faculty.
