Remarks
Our college is accrediated grade A by National Assessment and Accreditation Council and earned CPE (College with potential of excellenc). You can find this in very few colleges. My college is my pride. In academics spots culture it is a pioneer in West Bengal.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is pretty well structured and UGC NET centric. Formerly yearly exams took place but now whole curriculum is divided into 6 semester and all marks are added to form the final mark sheet.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunity is not direct in case of our College. After the completion of B.Sc you can go for higher education like M.Sc or you can sit for competitive exams. Internship is not a part of our degree curriculum.
College Events
All national holidays as well as our regional events and events like Freshers welcom, Yearly sports, College Foundation day saraswati puja and yearly social fest is celebrated in our college with whole hearted participation of teachers and students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Our fee structure is made in such way that all students from various types of family background can easily continue their studies here. For students with too poor family background can have tuition fee weaver here as half free or full free can be availed by submission of necessary documents.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes there are opportunities of various types of scholarship in our college. Some is government sponsored and mediated by college and also college grants some scholarship for students too. I am an INSPIRE scholar, and college helped me in this case too.
Campus Life
Our college possesses NSS and NCC squad as well as Physical Education Department so sports and fitness is given a lot of interest. Extracurricular activities like singin, dancing,reciting, dramma etc takes place in our college during various celebrations. All of the department have university level labs and I can assure you will never forget the lab experience eve.
Alumni/Alumna
Every Department in our college has its own alumni Association. Yeah it is very helpful as we can avail various types of guidance from them in our online forum. Ex students helps young minds to choose stream, choose carrier and make us informed about various scopes and vaccencies.
Admission
After passing Higher Secondary, I applied for admission through University website. Previously BCC was under The University of Burdwan, but now it runs under Bankura University. I was selected as per my score in HS and then I got admitted in BCC.
Faculty
All the faculties are learned enoug to provide a quality education. There are many experienced teachers as well as laboratory assistants. Each and every Department possess adequate teaching stuffs, they really took care of our education very much.
