Remarks
Even though it is a govt college it is well managed and the management is doing a great job I dont think there's any change I'd recommend.
Entrance Preview
MPPET state level entrance exam for madhya pradesh but the admissions are through aieee now so its a little more difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Only one company came to hire interns at campus only 2 students made through the process but the placement opportunities are good and no company asks for internship experience.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities are good most of CS IT students were placed by end of placement session with infosys wipro and cognizant hiring around 200 students each. There are other high paying companies like SAP Labs and barclays visiting the campus.
College Events
The college fest has variety of events including graffiti, street art on the creative side and various coding competitions as well the contests are open to other colleges as well and are mostly state level.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since its a government college the fee structure is quite feasible compared to the facilities they are giving it was around 33k for a year for computer science.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college has good scholarship facilties for sc/st students most of the government approved scholarships are applicable there.
Campus Life
Extracurrics are a very important part of gsti and are given a lot of value there are many interest clubs for overall development and fun many events are organized and all festivals are celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm at gsti.
Hostel Facilities
I was not a hostel student but since its a government hostel you cannot expect vry good facilities though it was very reasonable and had good food.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior junior interaction was always good at gsti with proper channels for complain against all forms of ragging the alumni organization is recently formed and its running good with many events being organized the TPO cell arranges for seniors from good companies to come and have sessions for final year students.
Exam Structure
College timing is 10-6 with one half consiting of lectures and other half of labs exams are held semester wise with 2 mid term tests every semester.
Faculty
You will get a mix when it comes to faculties some are really good and some clearly lack experience its more of a self study culture at SGSITS the curriculum is well designed and includes mostly everything required at college level.
