Undergraduate B.Sc in Botany

No negative remarks. Positive remarks- Best department of Botany in all over India, in terms of regularity, discipline, results, and curriculum. Faculties are too good. The Department library is useful and open from 9 am to 5 pm.

B.Sc Botany Hons course is a very interesting course. This course mainly emphasizes plants and their diversity, physiology, etc. The exam pattern is the Semester system. There are 6 semesters i.e. 3-year course.

Yes, the department of Botany provides various jobs for Assistant professors, research-oriented students, lab attendees, and so on. Department provides Internships also for B.tech Biotechnology students during summer vacation.

Various seminars and workshops are happening throughout the year on various topics. Akanksha, a youth fest happening in the month of February. Spandan, a inter-university cultural event happening in the month of March every year.

The fee is highly satisfactory and affordable. Per semester odd sem fee 2000 Rs nearly and even sem 325 Rs only. At the time of admission, 2800 Rs is required and thereafter fee is too low. For Hostler's fee structure is different based on the type of hostel in which are interested.

Student scholarships are provided every year. Dashamottar chhatraviti is provided every year to those students who belong to the economically weaker sections. For Sc and St categories, a fee waiver is also there.

Labs are excellent. Every material which is required for experiments are available. For Dancing, acting, singing, foreign language there are courses. Interyouth sports like Marathan, kabaddi, cricket, honkey, etc are happening.

Alumni are Dr. Prof Ramdev Mishra, father of Indian ecology, Dr prof Birbal Sahani, father of Indian paleontology, various cynobacterial alga, and Chlorophycean alga was firstly reported in the department by H.D Ram.

Through BHU UET 2017. Fill the exam form released in the month of Feb-March. Appear in the entrance test which is conducted all over India in May-June. If you are selected after results are out in June, you will be called by Call letter for counseling and finally submit the fee and start attending classes.

University faculties are very much enthusiastic, dedicated, and student-friendly. Their teaching methodology is far interesting and emphasizes deep knowledge of the subjects. More than 40 professors are there in the department and have years of teaching experience.
