My College

Overall it is very good college to learn & grow & i feel very proud to be part of it. We are here not only mentally but emotionally grow. Lots of new qualities like leadership, teamwork, management learn. It is really good to be part of it.

About course curriculum, its well structured according to well established examinations like gate, barc etc. And exams are here to test your basic understanding of the subject. Not only they test your theoretical portion but practical understanding is also judged.

Placements are the most active feature of the college. Every year more than 200 companies visit college for placements and packages offered are as high as 50 lpa. Of course the higher package is grabbed by CSE and IT students in software fields. But still in core sector there a4e great opportunities. Not only private companies but government companies aka PSUs also visit the college.

Sawagat - it is event in which we welcome first year students. Department fresher - Every department will organize their own department freshers. Avishkar -It is techfest of my college. There are more than 100 events organized in which all students participate with enthusiasm, event coordinators are final year students. Culrav-It is cultural fest of mnnit. Lots of big celebrities come here. It is very fun fest. There are many shops held by students, dance performance not from MNNIT but also from other different colleges.

It is depend on categories, like general/obc having creamy layer 1.25 lakh per year while all other have 15k per year. Other categories are also available DASA their fee is around 2 lakhs. Mess fee is also different for different stream for undergraduate it 30 k while for post graduates 34 k per year.

Top 5 students of each year & each stream will be given scholarship by college. Alumni also help some of the students who are economically disabled. There are scholarships for students who want to pursue higher studies from foreign countries.

Every year we held sports competition for all years & branch in which other college students are invited & participate in it. Gold bronze silver medal & awards will be distributed to the winners. Labs are average here,being old institute lots of equipment don't work properly, lots of new equipment has been installed. College need to work more on labs. We are also go to industry for industrial visit on behalf of College.

If I have to rate it out of 5 star I will give 4. Lots of new building are on go. Hope they come up with more attractive hostel infrastructure. There 12 hostel for both girls & boys & more hostels are about to build.

Alumni network of MNNIT is very strong.our alumni is almost everywhere in field of science & business. Lots of people are working as CEO, CHAIRMEN, DIRECTOR & many such big posts.lots of alumni have cracked. Civil services & there at very good post.

Through JEE mains exam. It is All India Exam test. More than 16 lakh students fill form & 1.5 lakh student clear the cutoff & then according to Rank in JEE 10-20k students get seat in NITs. Patern of paper is change every year. The Paper consists physics, maths, chemistry. You have 90 questions each subject has 30 questions & time is 3 hours. The level of question for such short time is very good. Proud to ne MNNITIAN.

Faculty is very capable. All the professors have done their research and PHDs from reputated institutions. The way of explanation and quality of teaching is up to the mark. They trach with compassion and take care if every gets the concept. Nonetheless all the faculties are easily approachable in case of doubts and problem. The research work done is apart. The professors take keen interest in research projects and encourage students to take part in research and related activities.
