One of the best in Kerala

College is situated a vast area at the heart of Kollam city and it is easily accessible by all means of transport like Car, public transportation bus, and railways. Kollam railway station is adjacent to the College campus. Only negative which we can find in the college is that, as the college is near to the railway station and adjacent to one of the platforms, sometimes the sounds if trains and its engines are disturbing.

Course curriculum is prepared according to the University of Kerala and UGC Norms. As the college is having an autonomous status, the examinations are conducted by the college itself according to the University norms.

College itself have a placement cell and it provide the students of final year to attend campus interviews conducted by different organizations at the college. College doesn't provide internship right now.

College hosts a variety of events including Various National and International seminars conducted by the respective postgraduate research departments and conduct different workshops to students of different departments and their Faculties. All national and international and major local celebrations are celebrated at the college.

Fee structure is according the seats which the students get. If they get admission on merit seat they need to pay very nominal amount such as exam fees, tuition fee, library fee and miscellaneous which comes around less than 1200 rs per semester. But if they get admission on the self financing stream, they need to pay around 12000 rs approximately per semester.

College provides plenty of scholarships to meritorious students during the College Anniversary days. Apart from that the students of the college can apply for the scholarships provided by the University of kerala and higher education departments. One scholarship which I availed is higher education scholarship.

Fatima Mata National College is very active in all major sports in India like Football, Cricket, Basket ball and have a full fledged football cum Hockey stadium. All research departments have their own labs which are well equipped and neatly maintained.

No hostel facilities are provided by the college directly. But in the nearby locations we can find a lot of private hostels which are available at a feasible rate which is affordable to most of the students.

College have their own Alumni Network which us very much active in both Offline and online. Alumni associations of respective departments conducts various programs in the college yearly and provides scholarships to needy students. College itself has a Former Students Association (FSA) which is also active in conducting various get togethers.

We need to Submit application when the college invites application after our higher secondary course.Then from our Marks and they'll prepare the merit list and they will conduct an interview to select the right students.

Well experienced and trained Faculties. Most of them have doctorates and some of them are authors of different academic books. Some of them have post doctoral degrees also. They are helpful to the students and approachable.
