Remarks

It is a great college to get into for graduation and post graduate degrees. The great faculty of the college helps the students immensely so that the student can choose a proper career path. The college life here is fun and enjoyable.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is under Calcutta University and the CU syllabus is followed by the college. The exam structure consists of mid terms held by college and one annual University conducted examination. However now the exam pattern has changed to semester wise exams.

Placement Experience

There are not many placement opportunities for UG students. However some of my friends did get into TCS and PWC from college campus placements. However I'm not aware of the placement opportunities for post graduate students.

College Events

There are many events celebrated in college. Starting with freshers, college socials, teachers day, Saraswati puja, holi (rangmanch) and many other competitions like fresh face contest, dance competitions etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is super inexpensive. Since the college is Government aided, the fee is as minimum as possible. For 3 years my total fee expense was approximately ?20,000 which is amazing with respect to the quality of education.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships and loan facility given by the college. However the student needs to qualify the required criterias in order to avail such facilities. I have seen my friends go to USA and UK after they have earned such scholarships.

Campus Life

Extra curricular activities are pretty good as far as I am concerned. There are regular sports, dance, drama and college socials where students can showcase their talents. However I feel that a little more can be done in this arena.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumi and students union of the college does a great job. Any student issues or problems once informed to the alumni are taken care of immediately. Overall it is an impressive organisation of the college.

Admission

After my class 12 results were out, I filled up the admission form online from the college website. Once the application was submitted, based on their cutoff marks a merit list was issued. Names of students in the merit list were then taken into admission.

Amazing faculty. The faculty of the college is one of the best thing about the college.they are extremely helpful and and guide the students properly so that the students can choose a proper career path.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Moderate College Life.

After HS I applied many colleges but I didn't got chance at the top notch colleges as they damand more marks than I got. After trying so many colleges I finally got admitted to this college.
