Remarks
The authority should look after the building, accommodation, library and the cafeteria. Library doesn't at all contain a good collection of quality books for individual subjects.The Canteen/Cafeteria is not upto the mark and the building should be remodeled.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am a final year student and presently i'm in the 1+1+1 curriculum but our immediate juniors are under the CBCS (Choice Based Credit System).And I think this is a wonderful step taken by The University of Calcutta to ensure brighter future for the students as they can match the All India level in various competitive exams as well as in Higher Studies in terms of Marks and also the system very much student friendly.
Placement Experience
The campus placement facility is not up to the mark. In some cases Some companies like TCS, ICICI Bank etc. hire some students. Otherwise the sector is not developed till now. Some departments offer Internships. Stipends are given to the brilliant and needy students.
College Events
There are various events celebrated throughout the year. Fee Structure And Facilities
It is quite feasible and i would say it is way cheaper than other institutions. It barely costs 3,000/- to 10,000/- per annum(depending upon the subjects). Some departments like Microbiology, Journalism and Mass Communication are little bit expensive although. It also gives relaxations in fees for the needy students in some terms.

Yes. Our college offers a range of scholarships for brilliant and needy students to help them persuing their higher education and fulfilling their dreams. Every department offers individual prizes for the toppers as well.
Campus Life
Our college motivates all kinds of extra curricular activities of the students. There are frequent programmes where we perform. Frequently there are Auditions and workshops are also arranged. Annual sports meet is also arranged. To motivate the sports there are various scholarships offered. Now talking about labs.They are good and in some departments they are extra ordinary but some labs are yet to furnished with advanced euipments. Authority should look upon this issue.
Alumni/Alumna
They are helpful and very cooperative. The alumni association is very much responsive. A very healthy relationship is maintained and most importantly they all inspire us to do something great in our own fields.
Admission
Based on my marks in 12th Board exams my name got enlisted in the final merit list online.then I was asked to attend the counselling process via a text message. There I was given every single information for the further admission procedures. then I paid the admission fees via Challan in Indian Overseas Bank.Then We were notified by the college about our first class.
Faculty
Overall my college bears a great quality of faculties. The teachers are very much supportive. But some departments really need new requirements as there are large vacancies. Some teachers should be more regular in terms of giving lecture and attending practical classes in time.
