Remarks
Very expensive but worth living. Living there feels like living in a different country all together. Every morning that rush of fresh air on our faces amidst rain was unbelievable. A small town but with all modern facilities.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was made exactly similar to the curriculum in IIT’s. Overall the curriculum was divided into seven semesters and one semester that is the last one was given to project. We had regular assingnments and class tests
Placement Experience
No the college does not provide any internship. We have to look for it on our own which quite troublesome. I did mine from Honda through a recommendation. Placement and job opportunities are there, but not of very high standard.
College Events
Mainly we have to fests in a year. One is a cultural fest and other is a technical fest. Outside colleges mainly from the southern region participate in the fest. We also celebrate festivals like Diwali
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is very expensive, infact it is among the most expensive colleges of India. I don’t think the education quality justifies the fees that we paid. Even the placements were also not good enough. The infrastructure is excellent though.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarship or loan available from college. Merit based scholarship is also not available. We can take loans from different banks for education fees. It is very difficult for middle class family to afford education here.
Campus Life
We had excellent facilities of the above mentioned things. We have a dedicated ground for football, cricket and hockey, We also have badminton court and volleyball court. But we lack proper faculty for these sports.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel was very good neat and clean, our rooms and toilets were cleaned everyday. The single rooms had a bed table and chair and an attached bathroom. The corridors were always very neat and claen. Security is good
Alumni/Alumna
Not much communication between them. We hardly communicated with our seniors or aluminis. Only students in some clubs would have proper access to seniors. So there wasn’t any sort of guidance from the seniors.
Admission
I gave the entrance exam and secured almost 2500 rank. There were three orientation centres , one in Jaipur, one in Banglore and one in Manipal itself. Jaipur being nearer to me, I decided to go to jaipur
Faculty
Faculty was knowledgeable and experienced, but most of them being from south their ascent was a bit difficult to catch up to for us north indians. The faculty’s here rarely miss their classes and are very professional.
