Remarks
The college is very good for mechanical department only negative remark is that it is a little bit in the outskirts of the city. Apart from that there are opportunities that are provided by the college in form of paper presentation and international conferences
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is very comprehensive and detailed. Exam structure follows midterms and semester exams pattern. Our score is graded to 100 in exams and converted to 60 for internals and 40 for viva and project.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunity are limited. We had cognizant placements and a few other IT firms. College encourages the students to attend internships but they don't provide any by themselves. The students have to apply for internship in various organisations.
College Events
Which department have their own symposiums, apart from that that college wide cultural and sports day event.then also events like paper presentation and international conferences that happen from time to time.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is not very expensive when compared with other colleges. The fees is for each semester and it will be separate fees for hostel if the student is opting. Overall it is very feasible fee structure
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not go for alone but I think there is loan facility offered in collaboration with Indian Bank by the college. The University also has an Indian Bank inside the arts college campus. The loan can be availed during admissions
Campus Life
Extra curricular activities include sports and cultural activities and also symposiums in other colleges and universities and workshops that are conducted by various organisations. The labs are elaborate with all uptodate equipments
Hostel Facilities
The hostel infrastructure and facilities very good. There was 24/7 power supply even when list of Tamil Nadu was facing 14 hours power cuts. Other facilities include laundry facilities playing grounds etc.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students for the people staying in hostel and also for the ones doing project and internships outside the college. They are assist fairly well and also help during placement time by clearing any doubts the students have
Admission
I got admission in mechanical engineering by my AIEEE score. I also had a little interview in college by the dean of engineering. I was offered mechanical since I had very good score in physics in higher secondary
Faculty
Knowledgeable and helpful staff. (I speak only for mechanical engineering department). The mentoring during projects is very helpful and they are available for after class hours doubt clarification or mentoring
