Course Curriculum Overview
Everything a doctor needs to know is taught both theorywise and clinical based and the college is connected to teaching hospital "KING GEORGE HOSPITAL". University Exams are held once in every year in the month of January which includes both theory and practicals.
Placement Experience
Yes,the college does provide internship which is after passing MBBS for a period of one year.Internship was the best phase in entire 5 and a half years of MBBS course.Stipend we got paid is 15k per month
College Events
1)Fresher's day during end of August or start of September 2) Sport's week in October 3) College week in November 4) College Christmas in December 5) Men's and women's hostel days in March Others include College formation day, Independence day, Republic day,Vinayaka Chavithi,Yoga day.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible as this is a government college. We paid 10,250/- per annum paid in three parts as 7500,2500 and 250,three paid in three different forms at three different places which was a bit confusing and tiresome.
Fees and Financial Aid
I do not know anything about the loans and scholarships as I am not a candidate for availing it since both my parents are government employees with annual income exceeding the requirements for scholarships.
Campus Life
As already said there are many events held in the college every year and mostly all the events are held by students themselves,students get to less how to take up and organize things, leadership qualities and at the same time enjoyment. Labs here are provided with all the instruments the students need along with best professors and lab assistants.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel might not be that good as private hostels but is well maintained in comparision with other hostels of government institutes.we have all the facilities like Mess,water and mainly security guards with the warden of the hostel living in a building just next to the hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni of this college is called AMCOSA "Andhra Medical College Old Students Association" and there is also a group for all the almuni in North America. All the seniors and almuni of this college do their best to provide addition infrastructure to the college or the hostels.
Admission
After a hell lot of hard work and many sleepless nights. Admission through EAMCET exam held in May,2013 followed by offline counselling held in July and the classes commenced form 1st of August 2013.
Faculty
Every faculty member of the college has great knowledge which they share with us and help us to be better doctors like them.Most of the college's faculty members are themselves the alumnus of the college
