Remarks
Pros: Good facilities, good teachers, good placement cell. Multiple sports very available. Great annual function. Not much expensive fees structure Cons: we had a uniform, and had to attend all lectures, there was 75% attendance mandatory. Our college was more concerned for academics and not into co curricular.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is good for cse branch. Gives depth knowledge of computer programming using multiple languages c/c++/java/microprocessor. Its a semester system 6 months each semester. And exams at the end of the semester. Papers were easily but result declaration took more than 6 month for initial semester but later on it reduced to 20-30 days. Exams included theory and practicals. Theory was 80 marks Semester and 20 internals. Apart from that practicals were there for programming subjects which consisted of computer programming and viva with an external faculty.
Placement Experience
Placements were okayish, and average packages were around 2.4 lpa. Not all students got placed with good companies and packages. Mostly startups visited for placements. Placement cell was very hard working though. They used to get companies as much as possible. Arranged good placement helping classes for english and logical reasoning. For internship, we had to manage ourselves. And stipend was very less.
College Events
Events were annual celebration which included academic competitions, programming competitions, sports, cultural and music dance shows. There used to be fashion shows as well. Used to invite participants from other colleges as well. Good guests/judges were invited. Annual function used to be around 15-20 days activity along with preparations. Used to be managed by students under mentoring by teachers. Good prizes were given to winners. We had sponsors as well for prizes and fundings.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible not much high. There were multiple payment options for one time payment as well as in instalments. At our time each year fees was rupees 50000. Now it might have increased. For people with less income there were option to get some kind of concession as well. Couple of classmates used to pay only 8000 per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships were available for meritorious students. Loans were available for students with less resources. And there were facility to pay less fees to students whose parents were lying below poverty line. So they just had to pay 8000 per year whereas others had to pay 50000 per year
Campus Life
Very good infrastructure was there. Good labs with good systems. Great chemistry, physics and computer labs. There were mechanical labs and civil engineering labs as well. Library had good collection of books. There were basketball court, tennis court, cricket ground as well. There was a very big auditorium as well for cultural activities.
Hostel Facilities
I did not opt for hostel. But facilities were good. Good internet service. Good canteen. Big rooms with twin and triple sharing options. Access to play sports and use library anytime. There were different sports available. Cricket, tennis, table tennis, basketball, football.
Alumni/Alumna
We did not have seniors. Our was the first batch. But alumni network is good. We keep on receiving mails regarding alumni meets in different cities. Our TPA keeps up the constant communication for people searching jobs or looking for a change.
Admission
I appeared in RPET examination for technical courses in rajasthan. Through counselling I got my college in first list of candidates. I had selected Computer science engineering branch. My Rpet rank was 9000 approx.
Faculty
Good faculty very knowledgeable and friendly. Our institute had best faculty amongst other colleges for important subjects. Although for some subjects we had new lecturers just recent engineering pass outs. But our college had a tough selection procedure. Overall good faculty.
