VIPS

Vips have lot of things that many IP colleges fail to provide. It is fully air conditioned, accessibility is quite easy, campus is very big. The only negative thing is high fees and outdated syllabus.

Course curriculum is outdated. We are studying those subjects which do not even exist in market anymore. Exams structure is simple. There is internal assessment and external assessment. Exams are more inclined towards theory part.

There are quite few good companies that came for job placements at vips. Every company has a different eligibility criteria. Companies come very often for placements. If you are eligible and worthy you might grab some good job. No, there is no internship provided by the college but summer training is surely provided.

There are various events. VSIT the technical branch of vips comduct various events time to time. Every festival is celebrated properly. In the month of January there is proper fest conducted by the college.

Fee structure in my opinion is very expensive. In the first year when we enter the college we need to pay university as well as college fees both and then from next year onwards we only need to pay college fees which is no less. Fees is more than a lakh for one year.

There are many scholarships and loan facility provided by college to the bright students or the students needy of it. But i have not opted for any scholarship program and personally i was not much aware about scholarships before taking admission.

Extracurricular activities are very good. Vips has a large campus and a superb infrastructure with some amazing labs and a pretty big ground. Labs are maintained properly by lab incharges. There are many sports such as cricket, football, volleyball, throwball, basketball etc

No i have not opted for the hostel, even there is no hostel facility provided by the college. Students have to get the accomodation by themselves. There are few pgs around the campus where one can stay.

The alumi network is not that good. Although meetings are arranged with the aluminis time to time but they are not very helpful most of the times. But seniors are of much help if you manage to make good contacts.

I got admission through entrance exam which was conducted after my 12th board exams and on the basis of my rank and cutoff list of the colleges i got admission in Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies.

College faculty is good. It is actually the best part of the whole college. Faculty is exceptionally professional and willing to teach us every thing possible. Except of this faculty is quite helpful.
