One of the best engineering colleges in India

The best part of this college is that it is one of the best colleges in India in terms of placements. One may disappoint with the infrastructure that our college have. And the teaching staffs are lagging behind when compared to IITs. Rest all things are good here in MNNIT Allahabad.

My major in B.Tech is Computer Science & Engineering. With excellent teaching faculties and well maintained labs will motivate and encourage you to perform better. The curriculum includes all the new tech related subjects as well as core subjects like Operating System, Networking, Algorithms etc. The Exam structure is just fine here. It comprises of two exams in a semester i.e. Mid Term Exams of 20 marks and then End Term Exams of 60 marks with 20 marks of Teacher Assessment. It makes 100 total marks for each subject.

Our college ranked third in terms of average placements (CTC per annum) this year, 2019 among all 31 NITs. Almost 99% of students get placed every years from our CSE Department. It includes many big companies like Google, Microsoft, Uber, Walmart, Goldman Sachs etc. Our college don’t provide internships in the college but companies come here to select students for internship role.

There are many events happens in our college. Some of them are listed below in chronological order -: Avishkar - it’s a technical festival of MNNIT. We do projects of our own interests, entrepreneurship activities etc. Renaissance - an event exclusively for budding entrepreneurs. Hack36 - 3 days hackathon in which many colleges participate. Culrav - cultural festival of our college which holds every year at the end of even semester.

Since it’s a Government college so it offers a feasible fee structure. Besides this our college has different pay scale for students on the basis of their family annual income, physical ability/disability, and zero tuition fee for students having poor background. For a student it charges around 65k per semester excluding hostel and mess charges.

I have not availed any kind of scholarship offers by my college. But it has scheme for those students who have poor family background, who scores highest CGPA in the college and students having CGPA greater than 9. A special scholarship is offered to students belonging to Scheduled Tribe caste.

The labs are well furnished and the instruments in them are just fine. There are many labs dedicated to every departments. We have a big ground for sports like cricket, football etc. Besides this we have 3 other relatively smaller grounds. A gym is also there in our college.

Our college has 9 hostels for male students and 2 for female students. The hostel in which I’m currently residing was made in 1970. So the hostel is bit old and has small rooms comparatively to other new hostels. There are lawns, cycle stands, common room, TV rooms, mess etc in our hostel.

Our college has one of the best alumni network in entire country. They are in almost every field not only in our country India but to the foreign countries as well. We have alumni meet function in our college every year where they share their experience, knowledge with us. They are very helpful in nature.

One should get admitted into any NITs is via JEE MAINS exam, which held every year in India. I cleared this exam in 2016 and got an all India rank of about 4k. Due to this rank I was offered Computer Science & Technology course in B.Tech at MNNIT Allahabad.

The faculty here in our college is better than most of the other NITs. They are helping, supportive and like a book full of career related information as well as that of advices. They have rich and vast knowledge in their subject which makes them unique.
