Remarks

This college is suitable for both fun and study. You can do what you want to do without any particular limitations imposed by the administration. Academic environment is not as strong as one might expect but it torally depends on oneself.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course Curriculum is very vast ranging from non-clinical subjects in first 2 years to clinical subjects in 3rd and 4th year. All subjects are Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Community Medicine, General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Radiology. Exams occur annually. You have to obtain 50% marks in both Theory and Practical exams to pass.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is 1 year internship period provided by the college but the stipend is really really low by today's standards, only Rs. 9000 per month. Job opportunities, although, not provided by college itself are good as there is shortage of doctors in the country.

College Events

4

College has a bi-annual fest called Neoplasia, which has cultural performances, dance, DJ night, sports events and multiple games, however there is entry fees for everything which makes the whole event very expensive for the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since this is government institution, fees structure is feasible for most students. However, the government has increased fees prices in recent years, nearly trilping it what it used to be eariler. It still is under feasible category but maybe not much for stidents with poor economic background.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides a very tiny amount of scholarship. However, it is difficult to avail and many students aren't even aware of it. Also, it is only open to students with lower family income and they should belong to Scheduled Caste.

Campus Life

4

They are getting better by the time. Labs are still old but they have necessary facilities, though not the latest ones. Sports events are frequently held in the college and are equally enjoyed but college does not provide any sports equipment. Students have to buy them on their own.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are really helpful whether they are still studying in the college or have moved elsewehere. They can be easily contacted through social media platforms like Facebook or Instagram and are very responsive if anyone has any queries or they need help with any matter.

Admission

One has to give a an entrance exam after 12th, called NEET. Your rank list is made based on marks obtained in that exam and if you have good enough rank, you can select this college in counseling, which happens online.

Faculty

4

The faculty is very experienced and are well versed with their subjects. However, using slides or presentations to teach makes lectures less interactive and therefore are not preferred by students much. But, they are also highly cooperative and they never say no to anyone who wants to learn more.

Medical curriculum is now being managed by NMC who are trying new things which are kind of making it a bit weird and also the adaptability has been a little off. But overall its a good motive to stop rote learning

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum was not an influence to be specific for me to choose MBBS, it's my father's dream to see me as a doctor As mentioned already curriculum is tough , thereby it prepares us to be very very good doctors.. I don't think am a suitable person to add suggestions to improve the curriculum, there are way better and experienced persons and doctors . Frequency of exams in medical College is usually very high, and my perspective is that theses exams are actually very tough
