Remarks
Amity University is all about decent education with not so decent money. They haven't got any negative about them other than the stringent attendance criteria but there aren't many positives as well. If you are a decent student with not many aspirations in the near future then Amity is a good fit for you.
Course Curriculum Overview
When I was studying my bachelor's, I had an yearly exam system with 13-14 courses per year including an additional language course. There were 3 internal in the year before the final course structure was degree specific with extra curricular courses as an option.
Placement Experience
No, placements were not offered at my time since I started out in Manesar branch and it had opened the year of my joining the college.By the third year, Amity had no placements on offer or took us out to Noida Branch to appear for placements.
College Events
Yearly festivals like Sanghathan was celebrated every year but it grew in stature every year since the Manesar branch was opened recently. For sports activities, teams were taken to the Noida Branch to compete but participation was not encouraged and all in all the event was subdued due to the site being new.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Amity University is a private university so that makes it apparent to be expensive than majority of the colleges in India. There is no such hike semester wise but the fees already is at a premium rate.Since. Amity invests so much in infrastructure and promotional activities, it is bound to charge such premium rates from the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since Amity mostly is a hub for Average students due to it having a very lenient approach to enrolling students, there scholarship offers weren't much of any benefit. They had offers for students with 90+ marks but those students were a rare sighting at Amity since mostly opted for more prestigious colleges.
Campus Life
Since Amity has a vast and good infrastructure in all its branches.Extracurricular activities were encouraged at the collge but in my branch since it was newly opened it wasn't talked about in the same way as it should in a reputed college.
Hostel Facilities
I wqs not staying in the hostel as I had my own rented place in Gurgaon. But my friends were staying in the hostel and the facilities since they charge so much money was quite decent.Cafeteria can be worked upon with food quality a major issue in most of the colleges in India.
Alumni/Alumna
Again since the branch was opened recently so there were not many seniors or alimni network setup for us.We were our own mentors and guides to achieve whatever we wanted for ourselves and it turned out to be decent.
Admission
I applied through a registration process by paying a fee and then was called in for a interview and got selected basis that. They asked me to write an essay on a random topic and took an brief interview.
Faculty
Faculty vise Amity is decent. They all know there basics and have a neutral style of teaching which is very easy to understand and they are cooperative as well.Teachers were out of the box and managed to cover the syllabus on time with plenty of revision time.
