College review

The events, clubs present give a very good social experience, the mess food is comparatively better than other institutes (based upon reviews of my friends in other Institutes), campus is clean and jaipur city is easily accessible by bus services throughout the day. I would the say the only negative remark about the college would be the quality of faculties present and not offering a research based environment to the students.

Course Curriculum is on par with other universities like IITs. Many new courses on hot feilds like AI and Data Science are also offered. In the first year courses for all branches are same in which a computer programming, physics, basic electronics, English course is mandatory. In second year courses are much of to build fundamentals of computer science like (OS/DBMS/CN), but in third year a student can choose courses in various subfeilds of computer science. A B.Tech Project is also mandatory for 6 credits in 6&7 semester.

Placements have been great in recent years. Many top tier companies have been visiting the campus and offering a great package. Average for previous year was around 10 Lacs/annum with highest of 40 lacs. Internships are also offered to 3/4 year students. For 3rd year opportunities only few companies visit which suffice only for 5% of the batch. Stipend for internships varies around from 25K to 50K.

Fees levied by the institute is on a higher side which may not be feasible for lower middle class. Around 2lacs/semester i.e 4 lacs/annum is the current fees. Fees includes Tuition Fee, Hostel&Mess charges, Internet&Electricity and other things. Comparing the fees to experience/opportunities offered i would say it's good and not too expensive comparing to local colleges in various cities.

There are many scholarship offered like - TAship, Academic Performance (for GPA>9), Excellent performance in entrance exam(JEE Advance). Loans are also offered by many banks in all branches. At the time of registration stalls for various banks are present, offering loans.

Various clubs like Robotics, Quizzing, Music, Drama, Programming are present which you can join and enjoy your hobbies. Clubs are a great way of making new friends, seniors and help develop an overall personality. Football Feilds, Cricket Feilds, Badminton/Tennis court, gym are also present inside the campus. Various tournaments are organised time to time by Gymkhana. Inventory for playing is easily accessible and in good condition.

Yes, I have opted for a Non-AC twin sharing room which is inside the campus. There are 4 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel. Boys can opt for AC rooms with ?3000 extra charge. There are certain rules by which rooms are alloted like 4th year are the only ones which get single rooms and other are allocated double rooms. Also one can submit a medical application for opting a single rooms. Infrastructure is good, LAN Internet is offered along with WIFi in each wing., Mess food is good with cuisines from all over India offere 4 times a day., Ducting is also present in Non-AC rooms. Biometric attendance is taken in girls hostel.

I would say seniors are the most hepful throughout the whole engineering. They are the ones who guide you to reach A-B in many situations. Also an Alumni Association is also present which conducts various talks/informal meetings with them.

For applying to first you need to ensure you have given the current year's JEE Main exam and 12 boards percentage >75% given no later than a year. Registration links open at www.lnmiit.ac.in in April, a registration fees is also levied. Then a cutoff is released for participation in the allotment round (4-5) in which branches are alloted to preferences and your rank in JEE main exam.

Faculty recently introduced is good. Many professors from foreign are visiting and offering new courses. Overall faculty is okay and not as great as IITs as most of the professors teachings are just for the sake of completing the course and not offering knowledge which can be applied to practical applications.
