Remarks

Only negative remark is the fee structure. Another thing that may go in negative remark is the relative grading policy which induces a lot of competition among the students making it very difficult for them. But it can be seen as something as positive because most people perform well only under pressure and also relative grading eliminates the irregularity in the difficulty of question papers. Most positive remark is the 0% attendance policy which doesn't force students to waste time on classes they're unable to comprehend. For preparation purpose, lecture videos are also recorded which the students can see in their room according to their convenience anytime.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is great. We have quizzes that happen throughout the semester to ensure that nobody misuse the 0% attendance policy. Other than that there are projects and assignments for some courses. There's a mandatory mid semester exam of weightage 25-35% and comprehensive exam at the end of the semester of 35-45% weightage.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements is the best thing about our college. Average package is increasing very rapidly every year which now stands at 21 LPA for my stream. There are a lot of internships provided by the institute. 2 of them are mandatory and is sent by the institute based on our cgpa. 1 of them is mostly unpaid where as the 2nd one even offers stipend as high as 1 LPA. Other than that there's another internship which is dependent on the students merit and some really great companies visit the campus to take students.

College Events

3.5

A lot of events happen in the college. Regular quizzes, debates, and other curricular activities. 3 fests are organized called Atmos, Arena and Pearl for technical, sports and cultural activities respectively. Apart from this there's Rica which is inter hostel competitions for sports. Other interesting events keep happening in the various clubs and departments.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is a major con of here. It's very expensive with semester fee as high as 1.7L(as of now) with hostel and mess fees of around 45k per semester. Also this figure keeps increasing every year and it changes for the students already studying at Bits too.

Fees and Financial Aid

SBI student loan is available for students which offers loan upto 20L or more. There are lot of scholarship opportunities. Merit and merit-cum-needed are the most popular ones offering scholarship of 20-100% on semester fee depending upon the cgpa. There's also inspire scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

Extracurricular is decent in our college. Labs are great and fully advanced. Only problem is with the clubs that only selects a countable few students who are brilliant enough to get inducted. Others have a hard time to keep themselves engage in good extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are pretty nice. We are offered single rooms from 2nd year itself. Washrooms are cleaner than one can expect. LAN connection ports are available in the room. A chair and table to study, an almirah and a single bed is present. Overall I'll rate it 8/10.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very strong. A lot of bits alumni are connected via various active facebook groups and a website too. Seniors are helpful to the utmost guiding their Juniors with their best of knowledge.

Admission

Bitsat examination was conducted on May. It happens on different days according to the slot booked by the applicant. There are questions in PCM and English too. Based on it's performance, admission is granted.75% or above in 12th is also considered to satisfy the eligibility criteria.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculty are highly qualified and are smart enough to have proper knowledge about what they teach. They ask questions only from what they've taught. They teach so efficiently that even a hefty course is completed easily within the stipulated time.
