Remarks
College should treat all departments equally. Infrastructure is quite old and should be renovated. Canteen and other food services are also way behind the other colleges in the locality. College should provide a better exposure to the life in reputed institutions like IIT IISc and inspire students to cope up with the cream.
Course Curriculum Overview
College should improve the standards. Should rise the bars for entry. It so happens a person who got 4000 studies with a person who got above 1 lakh ranks ( management seat) which is very unfair. College concentrates more on the University semester examination than skill development.
Placement Experience
No, my college does not provide internship. Place opportunities are good. Ours was one of the TCS college until TCS went online this year. Most of the companies that arrive for recruitment are software oriented.
College Events
There is one and only one cultural fest which is organised for 3 days in the month of March called invento. It attracts almost all the local population but for the same problem again.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship facilities aren't particularly provided in college. But state government provides a lot of opportunities there is a scheme called e pass which gives around 20 thousand to each student every year but again that is based on caste and category.
Campus Life
Once a year there is an athletic meet. Twice cricket tournament. Sports is not compulsory but facilities are provided. College has its own foot ball hockey and basketball team who are doing really well at the state levels.
Alumni/Alumna
They have a very well established aluminii network. Alumini play a very important role in placements. They also help when it is regarding projects or academic tours or simply a guidance. They are called as guests for interact with students.
Admission
I wrote the common entrance test for the state of Karnataka. I got my rank to be 4000 which got me a merit seat in the college in the branch of chemical engineering. The range to get chemical engineering should be in between 0-20000 rank and mine was well above the required criteria. So I got a free seat with a free structure of 65 thousand per annum.
Faculty
Faculties are old school except for one or two who are really updates with the present world. ' Memorize ' is the new word or a less awkward word compared to 'byheart'. Classes are filled with notes dictation and writing. Laboratory experiments are not updated either.
