Remarks
Positive: Despite all weaknesses, the college gives placement. Negative: Quality of faculties, infrastructure, practical labs.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum: The college comes under RTU(Rajasthan Technical University), so they follow the course curriculum decided by them. Although RTU is taking steps for including latest subjects in it's curriculum, I felt it to be little inefficient. I was in IT branch and I felt a little too much of electronics subjects in my curriculum.
Placement Experience
Since it is a tier 3 college, so we can't expect big names with hefty offers to show up. The major recruiter from past 4 years is Accenture and TCS. Overall if you are an average student you will end up with a placement offer. The only thing is the quality of company is not that great. Otherwise in terms of number of placements the college never fails.
College Events
Here are some of the events celebrated : 1. Renaissance: It is the biggest event of the college. It is a techno-cultural fest, so all technical events along with cultural take place in it. It is a 4-day event. 2. There is one event dedicated to sports also. It is an intercollege event in which teams from University and college participate.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As said this college comes under RTU, so fee structure is also followed according to that. It's feasible enough and not that expensive. When I was there it was 35,000 RS per semester. Apart from that, there was an exam fee, development fee(One time) and caution money.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is one scholarship program that the college offers and I know it's TFWS (Tuition Fee Waiver System). As far as I know, it is based on your income and it's given according to a lower rank. It is mandatory for all RTU colleges.
Campus Life
Labs: Like every other engineering college there were practical labs, but they were seriously not good. Labs are meant to do practical things and experiment with them. But here you don't expect that at all. Sports: There is a cricket team, football team, chess team, etc. So, you can have your sports continued here.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of college is not robust. There are very few activities or initiatives that tries to connect current students with their alumni. In my term, the senior students of my batch were very helpful. They put extra effort to prep us for placements and teaching us the latest trends in the market.
Admission
Generally, JECRC takes students based on JEE mains rank through counseling, but I didn't take part in counseling. So, I went there after counseling and I got a vacant seat directly. They only saw my 10th, 12th and JEE mains score and based on that they offered me a seat.
Faculty
JECRC has some good faculties but their number is very low. The number of faculties holding a P.HD degree is very low. The strictness of the teacher varies from department to department. The overall quality of faculty is average and you cannot expect much from them(Except few exceptions).
