Remarks
Amity University Chhattisgarh is not a great college. It has a lot of problems. Rigorous timings, unnecessary rules and regulations, incompetent faculty members, and a lot of politics. Amongst that, it has good infrastructure but arguably, that is the only good thing about the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is outdated and there's not enough practical exposure. The exams are divided into two terms. Mid terms and end sems. Mid terms are of 20 marks, end sems are of 70 marks, and the remaining 10 are for assignments.
Placement Experience
The placement cell is very weak for people wanting to work in the field of production. They don't provide enough options and we have to look for internships on our own. This becomes a headache for the students.
College Events
Sangathan - It is an inter-departmental sports fest that goes on for almost a month. Ami Spark/AmiFest - It is the annual techno cultural event of Amity. Other students from different colleges can also participate. Other than that, we have guest lectures and seminars.
Fee Structure And Facilities
This is a private institute so the fee structure is a little high but this is also a newly built college, so the fee structure is slightly feasible if you utilize all the provided resources of the university.
Campus Life
For sports, there is Sanathan. But the problem with that is that is not a lot of time for practice is given during the event. Besides that, no time in days when the event is not taking place is given to sports. The lab/studio is a little well equipped with the right equipments. But they still lack a lot of things.
Alumni/Alumna
The students are great. They are helpful, good communicators, and great personalities. Because we are collectively oppressed by the teachers, that forms as a good point for us to unite. Besides that, there's no defined gap between the seniors and juniors but there's a sense of respect.
Admission
I first applied by filling out the form. Then I was called in for an interview. They asked basic questions and the interview went nicely. They asked me about my interests, my aim, and if I've done some work in the related field.
Faculty
The faculty is adequately versed with the idea of the subject title but is restricted by the curriculum of it. If they are provided with and opportunity to teach as per their will and give out enough practical work, they can do well.
