Above average college

This college is where I spent uncountable happy memories. Infrastructure of the college is good and it is improving with every passing day. At last what every student hope for is a good placement and the college is capable of providing that to you.

College is affiliated to VTU which is a huge university. I found the Electronics curriculum to be good, certainly not the best but not bad either. There is 20:80 weightage of internal and externals. The marking in externals is improper, you may or may not get the marks you expect and deserve. I myself always get 5-10% less than expectations.

This is the field where the college shines. The placement record of the college is certainly top notch. I'm 1 month into my 7th semester and there are already over 400 job offers being given with average of around 5lpa and highest being 11.5lpa with around 20 students placed with around 10lpa package. Just make sure you maintain your gpa to get the eligibility criteria.

The college hosts a lot of fests. There are inter college branch fests and 2 college fest. The biggest inter college fest is called kalanjali which is hosted in October. The fest lasts for 2 days with several competition and tournaments and handsome prize money.

The fee structure is different for comedk and karnataka students. If you are a student enrolled from kcet, the tution fees is just 48000 per year whereas for comedk students it is over 180000. The management fees is the same as comedk and they have to pay one time admission fees extra which is around 8-10 lakh for cse.

Scholarship is offered to the students belonging to the reserved category. But this is also valid for the students enrolled through kcet and other students are not eligible for that. I don't know about any loan facility being provided by the college.

The labs are well equipped, you'll get the necessary apparatus, not the latest technology though. Sports in the college are good. There are huge dedicated grounds for football cricket and volley ball. There are basket ball, tennis and badminton court as well.

All the alumni students are seemingly doing well as almost everyone ends up with a job. The seniors are placed in good companies and the network is really strong. The relation with the alumni depends solely on you.

I got admission through COMEDK. It's an all India entrance test and counselling was based on the rank. At my time it was offline. I secured 6097 rank and got ECE in 2nd counselling. After the allotment of the college, there was a brief procedure which had to be followed including documentation and fee payment to confirm the seat.

The faculty of college is really good. They are interested in teaching and cover the syllabus. Faculty is well educated and experienced. They have particular faculties for different subjects and do not alot new subjects to existing faculty.
