Remarks
I really like the greenery. New investments on the physical structures and the balance with Nature. The climate there was pretty harsh but greenery and the spiritual classes and the strong curricular practices made it all good.
Course Curriculum Overview
We were the first batch of the Autonomous College. Since then college worked with different industries and modified it's curriculum to fit the cutting edge industry. They promote research journal publishing and each department supports that. Each department. There were so many exams that I hated when I was a student but now I think that was what prepared me so much for real life.
Placement Experience
They provide 100% placements to the students who opt-in to the placements. The groom, rehearse and prepare students for college interviews. They also help you choose the right company based on your strengths.
College Events
There are so many events that I can remember some of them are - Annual Day. Conferences organized by each department. Certificate courses. Football tournament. Cricket Tournaments. Department wise student clubs. Special Interest Groups and numerous others that I have forgotten and did not care about.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees are a bit higher to the NRIs and foreign students but what I think is that each penny I paid there was worth spending. There are many more facilities you can use to build yourself while making most out of the fee that we pay. Personally I had interactions with the lecturers. Made use of the central library the most read a lot of books. Gymnasium every evening.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not opt-in for any loan and scholarship. They provide huge discounts to the ones who pass the entrance tests and with good marks :). We were also asked to purchase laptops which seemed very strict now it appears it was one of the best decisions.
Campus Life
There are students from different countries. That time the mixup of the class was good. I was able to learn the native language and was invited by a few of my friends to visit different places and also celebrated many festivals with them. There were regular public speaking, written communication practices. The language lab was amazing.
Alumni/Alumna
They do have alumni networks and get emails and updates regularly but I definitely think it could be better. College is there for more than 35 years and their students have reached all over the world and many companies in India and abroad. The connection across could be so valuable to the new rising students.
Admission
I was admitted to college as a foreign student. Along with us were Nepali, Kenyan, Bhutanese, and other country students obviously Indian Students. We approached foreign students' cell and then we were interviewed and was asked to submit the required documents.
Faculty
Faculties were overall great. Most of them with Ph.Ds and a lot of academic experience. At that time they modified their syllabus so there was a slight disconnect but now things could have been better. Their E-learning infrastructure is state-of-arts.
