Best College in Uttarakhand after IIT Roorkee

There are some things that needs to be improved like Pool table. But many things are in good shape. Placements of our College in CS/IT department is known as best in north india after the IITs. Even our college ranked 104 in top engineering colleges of india ranking by NIRF.

Course Curriculum is fine, C++ was in our course as a subject and i had already studied that in 12th so apart from that curriculum is fine. Exams take place twice a semester. Mid sems having half the syllabus with 50 marks in each subject. End Terms are of 100 marks with full semester syllabus and both exams have practicals of their own. Midsems are 2 subjects exams in one day and in Endsems are 1 subject in one day. Study gaps in between end sems exam are there but not in mid sems.

Placements are great in our College. Latest being 29 lakhs package in Cisco. Major IT companies come to our College such as Wipro, Infosys etc. College do provide internship. But I haven't been taken any Internship so I don't know about that much.

There's a major event named Grafest which is of 3 days which includes artists from all around the world. Last time we had Hardy Sandhu, Neeti Mohan, DJ Don Diablo and Acexe. Then there's mini Grafest having college students performances. There is President Cup. Xeron, Montage are other such events.

Fees for natives which are from Uttrakhand is very much less than others. So for local people it's feasible but for others it's expensive. Like BTech course's fees can go upto 1.5 lakhs per semester.

I was given scholarship based on my 12th marks so that's one. And the other one I got was Defense Personnel Scholarship as my dad is in Army. Both are 5% of tution fees. Scholarship based on merit increases as your merit.

Sports facilities are good. We have all sports from Football to Basketball. We have Pool table and Badminton court. Table tennis is also there. Computer Labs are having high tech facilities. Freshers are taken to FRI. Excursions are there.

There are many hostels of our College. Some are of A1 quality and other just opposite of them. But fees for all the hostels are same but differ according to 2 seater,3 seater or 4 seater. Ac or non AC.

Senior students are helpful. Alumni meets are conducted annually in many parts of world and including in our College. Even Alumni take part in sports event held in our College and have their own separate team.

I applied for my course and my 12th percentage was above the minimum criteria so i got admission. Then we have to make a partial payment i.e admission fees and will need to fill up admission form and after that you're all done. You will get your admission number.

Faculty is Highly qualified and is very helpful. You just need to reach out to them. Other than 1 or 2 faculty, others are the best you can get in their own respective fields. Maths faculty in particular is not that great but other than that it's all fine.
