College Review

Our college is really a place of high exposure. There is a space given to all those who enter here. The college is very much student friendly. The college gives us high opportunities of industrial relations.

Course curriculum is updated yearly. Examination is conducted half yearly. Total marks per subject is limited to a maximum of 100 marks, where 40 is given as internals and 60 is given as externals. Of the 40 given as internals, 5 is for 100% attendance, 15 is for assignments, projects etc which is called as CARS and CADLE. 3 continous assessment tests are conducted and a sum total of 20 marks are provided.

Placements are provided for the final year UG and PG students of the college by the placement cell of the college. Interested students can approach the placement cell and make their dream happen. The cell is working very much effective.

There are a lot of events happening inside the college. A common fest called Marifest will be conducted yearly. This is an inter collegiate fest where all the departments host different events. Normally this is happened as a two day event.

We can't say the fee structure is either feasible nor expensive. Because I am a part of aided batch and hence my fees is less compared to the students of the self financing batch. But the hostel fees is expensive little bit.

There are a number of scholarships offered by the college to her students. A large amount is kept as the scholarship for meritorious students. Another one is a scholarship, where the students itself contribute to it. Loan facilities are also provided for the interested. Once loan is availed the beneficiary must repay it as soon as they receive a job. All the scholarships and loans are provided by the extension department of the college.

College provides all kind of extra curricular activities. From 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm the college is opened for extra curricular activities. During this time we can use facilities of gym, sports materials etc. The lab and library will be remain opened till 10.00 pm.

Hostel is okay with the facilities provided. It is situated within the campus itself. 24 hours wifi, drinking water and cctv service is enabled inside the hostel. Mess is also functioning as a part of the hostel. A store is opened till 9.00 pm inside the hostel. Laundry facility is also provided for the interested.

The alumni network of the college is very strong. It is working in an effective and efficient manner. We are able make conversations with the alumni if interested. There is a coordinator for Marian Alumni from the staff side. We could approach him and let him know our needs and he will make communication with the alumnis.

I got admission through the single window system. We can apply for the course preferred directly through the admission portal in the college website by submitting the marklist of plus two. Then on a date ranklist will be published.

The faculty of the college is very brilliant. The college believes in the quality of education and the management is providing its best to ensure quality faculties in the college. No compromise will be made in standard of education. There are a lot Ph.D scholars as faculties.
