Remarks
Positive impact on University college of engineering nagercoil is that it is a government college. It is a branch of Anna University, Chennai. There is only few negative marks in our college they are not mentionable.
Course Curriculum Overview
I think it is a good curriculum for Mechanical engineering. During the period of 4 years there will be 8 semesters and at the end of each semester there will be an exam. For each semester there will be 6 paper and 3 practicals.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities is little bit weak for mechanical department. But the placement is focusing mainly on the software fields. Various software fields like Infosys, Tcs, Tech Mahendra, Titan keep etc
College Events
The list of events celebrated in our college are College inauguration day, Fresher s day, Teacher s day, National students service programs, Indian youth cross programs, NSO programmes, Sports day, Cultural day
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is feasible. For Example I am describing my fees structure. My fees expenditure for one semester is Rs 11350 including both semester fee and Examination fees. It will be minimum amount when compared to private institution.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am availing Scholarship under the Tamil Nadu Scholarship scheme. This scheme is based on the Community,Caste, Type of education based families education. Scheduled tribes can regain the exact amount they paid.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities includes National students service, Youth Red Cross, NSO.These activities are quite good. Sports are specialised towards indoor games mainly other outdoor games include cricket, foot ball, volleyball. The lab facilities are also good
Alumni/Alumna
There is poor influence on the connection between alumni association students and Senior students in our college. They are helpful only in fees ways. In my days in my college only one program has been conducted
Admission
I got my admission in Anna University constituent college, Nagercoil through merit list. Based on the cut off marks scored for 12th standard is considered as marks for admission. This admission process is conducted by Anna University, Chennai.
Faculty
I am just happy to have such talented, enthusiastic, intelligent,care taking faculty in my college. Whenever need arises, faculty just involve in the activity and analyse what is needed and takes care of the activity.
