A very good college

Overall, I have found my college good in all aspects. But the placements should be there for other branches too. The role of pricipal can't be understood by many of us. Leaving all these, no positive remarks from my side.

Course curriculum is overall very good. The students here not only get to learn about their technical subjects rather they are also taught here the subjects related to other different & interesting backgrounds. If we see the exam structure then there are 2 semesters every year. Each semester has 3 internal tests known as CIAs & at last, university exam is held.

The placements & job opportunities provided by the college is average. Many of the companies visit every year like Samsung, TCS, Wipro, CETPA, Kronos etc. No company comes for Electrical, Mechanical & Civil branch. Placement is only for CSE/IT students. This year, 3 students have grabbed a highest package of 15.35 LPA by Kronos. But JSSATE doesn't provide any internship rather students have to search for it on their own.

Not too many events are held. Some of the major events are Maitri which is annual sports meet held every year in the month of October. Other big event is Zealicon- annual cultural fest which is held every year in the month of March.

The fee structure is feasible for every students. JSSATE runs the courses for Btech, Mtech, MBA & MCA. All the courses have nearly equal fee or slightly differ from each other course's fee. The fee for Btech is about Rs.145000 in 1st year & reduces to Rs.120000 in 2nd year. This is the same structure as that of MCA. For MTech & MBA, it's about Rs.140000.

The college provides AKTU scholarship for those students who belong to economically weak families. College helps them to provide scholarship by asking them to fill the form to submit them in the office. They help in every possible way.

There are 20+ societies & clubs here for different activities. Students perform at various events in the college & outside the college. The labs are excellent here & provide every necessities required for the students. College has also bagged several achievements in sports like kabaddi, football, volleyball, cricket etc.

Yes, I have opted for hostel. The rooms in the hostels are 3 seaters & 2 seaters. It has a separate boys & girls hostel. The quality of mess' food is very bad. The facilities provided are not that good as it should be. The infrastructure is developing gradually.

The seniors are very friendly in nature & are always ready to help their juniors in every possible way they can. Alumni network in the college & outside the college is very strong. They help us if asked.

I applied for UPSEE exam in 2018 & appeared in this entrance exam in the month of April. Cleared the exam by scoring 236 marks & got about 30000 rank in my category. Hence opted for IT branch at JSSATE

The faculties are very good here. They have good understanding & knowledge of their respective subjects. Always ready to help the students whether it's academic, social or personal problem. They specially focus on the attendance of students which, as per requirement, to sit in the university exam should be atleast 75%.
