Computer Science Engineering

Overall college is good as compared to other engineering colleges. But It may be tough if you didn't get placed at first place. College do organizes many events however not so supportive in extra curricular because of that 75% attendance is mandatory. Environment is good and I spent quality time there. It also have mess that can provide food at 50 pp.

Course curriculum is old and affiliated with RGPV Bhopal. There is semester wise exams. RGPV should revamp curriculum as there are lots of new technologies introduced. However you get overview of all things in Computer Science. Some more detailed labs and practical required. The curriculum have many electronics and maths subjects too.

Placements for Fire Tech and Safety Engineering is awesome with some good PSUs and Major companies. In Computer Science many companies comes to recruit but some of them are just non-technical jobs. Sometimes in 3rd year one or two companies comes for internship. If you're lucky enough else no additional support for internship. Overall placement is good with average package 3.5 lac pa.

There is one annual fest Swaranjali which is held around February. There are many events held in this period. Some sports are also played and many competitions takes place in Swaranjali. Computer Science Department organizes Envisage fest for technical events. There are coding competitions, technical talk and some good prizes.

Fee is around 85k for a year during my time. Maybe they increased to 1 lac. Fee is more compare to other engineering colleges present. It is expensive and If someone opted for Bus service than 15k would be extra. There is some government scholarship around 30k for category students.

I only availed one scholarship which is not offered by college it is by government around 5k per year for general category students who secured more than 85% in 12th. However OBC and SC/ST category students got 30 to 40k per year as scholarship. Loan facility isn't offered by college you have to do it by yourself.

There is a good ground to play football and cricket. IPS organises many sports events in its premises. Labs are equipped with some good equipments and computers. Many events held throughout the year. College are very supportive for extra curricular activities.

As long as I am not so much in touch with seniors but they are supportive and can guide. They can easily refer to some good companies. Many seniors gave GRE and go outside for their Masters. We only have one WhatsApp group nothing more to touch with each other. There is no alumni network.

Through MPPET exam. There is cutoff for every category to get admission in Engineering. Just applied for Counselling through MP Counselling and fill choices for the colleges. There is also TFW (Tution Fee waiver) admission which requires another application for counseling. Currently Admission with valid JEE Mains Score.

Faculty is good. However they should convey more knowledge to students. Some teachers are just awesome and some just read out the lines written in PPT. There should more focus on practical than theory. All assignments are just fake and copied from google. There should be some realistic plans for growth.
