Remarks
Positive remarks are you can go out from the college very happily with good placement opportunities and you can enjoy your 4 years with lot of friends and fun. Negative remark is that they have some strict rules applicable which sometimes seem too ridiculous.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is good and it covers all the essential subjects which meets industrial standards.We will have 3 internal examinations per semester out of which best two are chosen for calculation by converting them into 50 marks. External examination carries 50 marks.
Placement Experience
It's raining jobs at Sastra University.Big companies like Amazon,Paypal,Morgan Stanley,Microsoft,Informatica etc. Visits our campus regularly.Highest Compensation is 27 lpa and it is given by Amazon. Large scale companies like TCS,INFOSYS,CTS,WIPRO also visit our campus.Many companies that visit our campus provide internship and stipend ranges from 10k to 90k.
College Events
There will be three main events that happen in our college. Colosseum is the inter college sports fest that generalky happens in February every year and Daksh is inter college technical fest that happens two weeks later and finally Kuruksastra , the cultural fest that happens in March third week.In each and every event students from different colleges across south india participate.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure in our college is one of the best in country when we compare with all the private colleges in India. Semester fee is 65k and hostel fee for semester ranges from 5k to 12k depending upon the hostel you choose.Mess charge ranges from 3500 to 3700 every month.So, fee structure is feasible in Sastra University.
Fees and Financial Aid
College provides two types of scholarship based on merit. First one of Dean's merit scholarship which they give back 20% of fee for top 2% students in every branch and 10% of fee for top 10% students in every branch. Second one is hostel scholarship which they provide scholarship of 16k for top 400 students staying in hostel. City union Bank which is in our college provides good loan facility.
Campus Life
There are many clubs in our college which include sports, dance, music, drama, tech, cultural etc. There are almost all the latest technologies with labs in our college. Recently, they even started virtual reality lab.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure is average here. All the hostels in the college provides basic needs and fee for hotel depends on 4 sharing, 3 sharing, single room etc. Food is not to good but there are canteens in our college premises which provide delicious food.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are really helpful in our college. They give us valuable advices which helps us to enlight our future. They provide essential information about placements and also how to prepare for our it. They also conduct workshops which helps for our career growth.
Admission
I wrote JEE MAINS through which i got admission in Sastra University.I secured 126 marks in JEE Mains in 2016 and got admission in Information and communication technology in this University.We can get admission here by scoring good marks in 12 th standard also
Faculty
Almost all the faculty has done their masters and PhD in some good college.They are highly talented as well as good for nothing faculties.Some faculty are really too good that they even help us in our individual projects
