Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As engineering is one of the toughest courses so the curriculum justifies it. My four years of journey was filled with assignments, practicals, projects, viva, exams etc. College life taught me that attendance is more important than anything in a engineering student's life. Talking about exam structure, except some courses all other courses were manageable if one studies what is taught in class. We used to have two majors in a semester and teachers assessment which also included a handful of marks for attendance so that students attend lectures (what a clever decision by university).

Placement Experience

4

Placements and job opportunities were excellent. If one has decided that he'll be not sitting in placements then only one can graduate jobless from my college. Well opportunities were far better in software profile than in core sector. Most of the students get job from software profile in my college. Yes ofcourse my college provided internship opportunities but as I said internships in core field were negligible as compared tp software profile. As I belong to core field I didn't get internship.

College Events

3

There were many number of events happening all over the year in my college. Some major were - Avishkar- Annual tech fest of college. Culrav- Annual music fest. Renaissance- Annual entrepreneur summit. GnoTalks- Talk show. Hackathons during summer holidays and lots of workshops of different societies like music society, robotics society, aeromodelling society etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was feasible and there were many scholarship facilities for economically weaker and meritorious students. As this was government college so fee structure was decided by MHRD which I think is afforded by a middle class family.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, there was one named OP James scholarship which was given to top three performers of every branch during a semester. For that one has to go through a small quiz and interview. If one clears that then he gets tution fee waiver for whole semester.

Campus Life

2

College administration did their level best for providing these facilities to us. But comparing to other colleges they were OK. My college sports teams have won medals in various competitions in IITs as well. But I think this needs much more improvement.

Alumni/Alumna

We have an Alumni association in which members are very active. We have programs organised by them each year at various major cities in which there are a group of people from our college. Some of our alumnus have been in the top positions in various govt organisations like cpwd, iocl etc. They contribute to our college financially as well.

Admission

I got into this college through JEE which is Joint Entrance Examination conducted by CBSE. The top performers of this exam hold position in various tier 1 engineering colleges of country like NITs based on merit list. After the results if you have cleared the cutoff marks you can fill the preference list of branch and colleges in which you want to study. Based on the rank acquired and choice of other aspirants one cam get into any one of the colleges he/she have filled in the list. So I got this college.

Faculty

3.5

Some of the faculty were superb and some were cruel. Each day you have to attend lecture of that person which refreshes your mind and after that other which does just opposite of it?. Overall the faculty knew their job very well and I enjoyed being mentored by them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
