So, If you are willing to have a memorable college life with least money spend and to get degree from a reputed Gov't College then buddy, come to BIT. Best thing that you'll get here is time, Actually we've plenty of time here for any exam preparation like UPSC CSE, GATE, IES, CAT, etc. It is so because we don't have much classes and too much vacations and this is the reason that most of the BITIANS crack these exams every year with flying colors.
Course Curriculum Overview
Under B.Tech, Curriculum is set by JTU, Ranchi (Jharkhand Technical University). Each semester (Total of 8) has two mid-semester exam and one end-semester exam. Out of two mid-semester examinations, Best of two is score is considered. So you'll have plenty of chance to upgrade your score if you can't score well in first mid-semester. Perhaps there is only one end-semester examination( In the month of June and December).
Placement Experience
B.I.T is among one of the oldest and prestigious college of Jharkhand. It has remarkable history in placements and job opportunities but nowadays the scenario is not very good. Still more than 50% BITians leave the college with job in their hand.
College Events
You'll have handful of events here organized by different clubs in the college. Beginning with Induction program and Industrial tour, you'll have FOYC(Freshers Of the Year Contest), Tech Fest , Cultural Fest, Quizzes, Arts fest. You'll have enough events to keep your enthusiasm high whole year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Its among one the cheapest college in India for B.Tech. You'll complete your course under 3 Lacs (inclusive of hostel fees, mess fee, exam fee and all). Morever, there is no tution fee for girls. So if you want to be an engineer with a brand of some prestigious college at the cheapest rate then, B.I.T will be good choice.
Fees and Financial Aid
First of all, there is no tution fee for girls. Then, our college have a TFW ( economically weak category) section under which students are not charged any tution fee. During course, there are many scholarships offered by our Alumnus on different criteria like College Toppers, Branch Toppers, Economically weak children and many more.
Campus Life
We have a Sports club here, who organizes all sporting events here. We've football, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Athletics as outdoor games. In indoor games, We've Table Tennis, Chess and Carom. Coming to lab, In BIT You'll come across oldest machinery and lab instruments. neither there is no proper guidance in labs nor they have proper instruments and infrastructure for labs here. Though new machines and new labs have been deployed but still most of the laboratories are not much beneficial for practical knowledge required in this era.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel are pretty large, but infrastructure is old now. Though many new hostels have been built and renovation of old hostels are on the way as well, the facilities provided here are enough of survive.
Alumni/Alumna
This is one of the best thing of BIT. Its has very attractive and huge alumni network. It is said that you'll always find BITians irrespective of the job sector and they are a way too helpful. Here, Seniors are more helpful than professors as they are the actual pathfinder for us.
Admission
Following the JEECE exam we had to go through counseling procedure by JCECE Broard and then we were welcomed to the college. Before that, A merit is generated as there are generally three rounds of counseling bh JCECE.
Faculty
In B.I.T, You'll get plenty of very experienced professors who are best in way of teaching to content of teaching. These senior professors are actually light-bearar of BITians. Apart from that, you'll have few young teachers as well who are just recruited.
