College review

Positive- our college maintain the cultural heritage and academic rules very well. With good faculties member helpful for the students. We have library, canteen, gym, auditorium hall, conference hall, play ground etc. Negative- some of the students are not up to the mark.

The course are very useful for us. We have to choose the course in our preference between English, Alternative English, MIL, Economic, Geography, Political science, Education, Anthropology, Logic and Philosophy etc. Exam are of two types the class test and the final test.

Our college doesn't provide many internships. However there are many chances in the cultural line in our college. I don't had any benefit from our college in place of job opportunity. Not a good experience.

Pragjyotish College is one of the most cultural College in Guwahati,Assam. It is one of ghe the oldest College in Guwahati, Assam. Our college maintain our culture and very supportive towards it. At beginning we have college freshers, may cultural events etc.

We can say that the fees structure are different according to what subject are taken and what stream and course are taken. Fees are normally high for commerce stream as it is semi government. Science stream is also in the expensive side and Arts stream is little affordable.

Scholarship are available in our college in merit basis. Scholarship are provided to the good and merit students. Lower cast students also get scholarship. Free admission is also available for good and merit students.

We have a performing arts department in our college. Which looks after the extracurricular activities in the college. Arts, music,drama, acting , singing are the in these department. We have a gym in our college.

There are hostels for both boys and girls. Hostels rate are dependents on how far the students have come for. Students from more traveling distance have given preference in the hostel. Hostels fees and rate varies from 8000 to 9000 rupees.

Alumni network are also good to our college many senior students still plays many positive role in our college. Helping the new students maintaining the cultural department etc. But not everyone of them are helpful.

I got admission in this college in Merit basis. To get admission we have to buy prospectus and fill up the admission form. The form costed around 300 rupees. There are total 300 seats. There are two sections in the class. I got selected in the second section. With an admission fee of around 6000 rupees.

The college faculty are very good and supporting towards their students. They help us in every manner as possible. As they are helpful as well as they are very well educated. Other staff faculties are also good.
