I am going to review my college NIT Raipur

An negative review is that this college has not the standard infrastructure of proper NIT. The playgrounds are worse. You can't dive while playing. There is no grass on ground. Hostel facilities are not for all students.

Course curriculum is very good. As this is central government college, so no one should doubt the course curriculum and needed modifications are always there with the time. Exam structure is this that we have two exams called CT-1 and CT-2 of 15 marks each. Then 70 marks ENDSEM and 20 marks are of TEACHERS ASSESSMENT. Marking is done on total 120 marks.

Placement is very good and specially in CSE and IT, there is 100% placement from last 3-4 years. Yes. College provides internship. There is a TRAINING AND PLACEMENT CELL for these things which takes care of everyone regarding internship and all. Stipend is also good. Students get hired by companies like AMAZON and GEEKSFORGEEKS for internship. So stipend is very good

1.There is Central India's largest cultural fest ECLEKTIKA. 2. There is AVARTAN(science fest) 3. SAMAR( sports fest) 4.SHRUTI( Music fest) And there are many other small fests going around every weeks. Those four were major fest.

Fee structure is affordable. There is proper fee refund on the basis of annual family income and caste. 1,65,000 is the annual fee and fee waiver is on the basis of family income. Those having family income more than 5 lakhs have to pay full fee. Those having more than 1 lakh and less than 5 lakh have to pay 2/3 rd of fee. Those having less than 1 lakh have no fee to pay.

There is state bank of india (SBI) ,NIT Raipur branch which provide with all the needed loan. No additional scholarship is provided by the college but if you could avail any scholarship from any source, it is welcomed.

Labs are very good. It has every required facilities. There are proper teachers and lab assistants which are helpful with equipments and experiments you do.IT labs has sufficient system and high speed wifi. There is no stopping to work in labs even if it's not your period.

Hostel infrastructure are best. Mess food is also very good. Hostel fee is around 35000 per year including food and electricity and water. First year hostel are separated. There is 4 first year hostel and 1 one senior hostel where 2nd,3rd and 4th year students live.

Alumni network is very good and seniors are too helpful. In college, the best teacher is your senior. They help you to deal with exams worries. They are friendly. And alumni are also very helpful. One of our alumini is 60 year old and he still organizes workshop in our college.

First i have to appear in JEE MAINS. Then there is a counseling process through which you are alloted the college. Then you will get to know the admission dates. There is 4-5 days and you could complete your admission process in 2-3 hrs maximum. Admission process happens in college itself. You have to go through 4-5 steps with verification of you documents to allotment of hostels. There are security guard also there to help you with locating the places where different processes are going on.

Faculties are good, but not every faculty is good. There are many temporary faculties which are less experienced and it reflects while teaching. Mostly you have to prepare for your exam by yourself with the help of google.
