Remarks

My college is in the top 5 Medical college of India. We have a very good campus. Our academics is quite good. Hostel is moderately good. We have individual rooms. The fest we have is grand. The four day cultural fest are the most amazing days. The only negative remark is my college is located in not so good location.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

MBBS is a 5 year course, So you have to give your time to it. It's sometime stressful and ultimately every student loves it. So it is the most adventurous ride. And saying about the NEET exam, you have prepare for it very well because of the competition.

Placement Experience

5

Yes, We have a 1 year internship after the final year. Presently, I m a third year student so I don't have an experience in that but after hearing from my seniors, all I can is that it's hectic as well as fun. You are going to learn a lot.

College Events

5

We have to Fests. One sports fest 'Arena' which is held in September and the other is cultural fest 'Ripple' which is held in March. It includes dance, singing, sports, quizes, poetry, celebrity night, dj night etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is feasible. It varies yearly. Being a government college, the fees is quite less as compared to other medical colleges. We have to submit the fee yearwise. There is late fee too, as there is specific dates allotted to each year to submit the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea about any scholarship offered. There are scholarships provided by the government but they need to be approved by the college. You have to stand at all the criteria provided in the scholarship.

Campus Life

4

We have extracurricular activities like sports e.g. cricket, basketball, badminton, table tennis, football, kho kho. We have other cultural activities like Western dance, contemporary dance, dramatics society, poetry society, photography society etc.

Hostel Facilities

5

Yeah, I opted for the hostel. It is situated in the UCMS campus only. I would rate 2.5 out of 5. It is neither too good not too bad. Infrastructure is moderately good. We have our own mess. According to the fees, it is quite better than other hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful and friendly. Sometimes they teach us the topics that we are not able to understand. They become our friends. We have outing, we celebrate many of the festivals together. We have a lot of parties. Alumini of UCMS are always remembered. They love to visit us. Many of them are still in contact with their juniors. So, Seniors are a part of our college, no matter where they are.

Admission

Through entrance exam called NEET 2016. I obtained the required marks and passed the exam. My rank was enough to get into the college. I filled the online counselling and got admitted with all that required documents.

Faculty

5

Faculty is good. Some of the professor are adored even by different colleges. It's fun to love during the hospital postings. There are different types of teaching. From 1st year to final year, each of the teacher tries to give his/her best.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum is mostly standard, but its relevance is super high because of the massive patient load at SJH. That clinical exposure is the key thing that prepares you for both real life and NEET PG later—that’s why I chose VMMC. Improvements? We need less lecturing and more interactive case discussions and maybe more emphasis on research. Exams are non-stop, seriously! We have internals/semester exams every 3-4 months. They are tough (50% passing), but they force you to study well for the final big Proffs. It’s tiring, but it works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum of mbbs is very comprehensive and makes you capable of handling medical emergencies, and not miss out on diagnosing critical cases. With the new CBME curriculum by nmc in place, additional focus is also given on the AETCOM (attitude, ethics and communication) module which is aimed at improving the quality of healthcare professionals produced by this country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate
