Positive.because it is good college In my opinion and many students join the college for the same reason,as the mentioned above everything ie good facilty and management facilities and students being learned there with full enjoyments.
Course Curriculum Overview
Maharaja's College provides Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme with twelve different specializations, while the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) is provided with seven different specializations. In addition, the college also offers Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Computer Applications. 6 semester in 3 year. Pass mark is 35 out of 100.
Placement Experience
The branding of Maharajas can help you gain better acknowledgment throughout the interviews and higher studies. Since this college holds a significant and unique position among the Best colleges in Kerala, the exposure it provides is immensely helpful. The campus also offers you training classes for UGC Net, CSIR etc.
College Events
The Freshers' Day, The Elections(The inevitable celebration of Maharaja's), college day, cultural programs, Art Festivals, sports meets, exhibitions, national and international Seminars etc. You can simply witness the talents of Arts' to Science with the various expo. And then the Maharaja's will never let you down if you are talented enough, the exposure you get from here is unbelievable.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I was from an ordinary middle-class family and the fees were so convenient for me because I enrolled in the Merit list. The overall expense can be rounded to around below 20,000 for 4 semesters. this is indeed a special thing where you can complete your studies with a minimum fee which is feasible for your family in supporting your studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions. The college offers several scholarship plans supported by the Government of India. There are many other scholarships which are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and excellence in Sports. I have not availed any of these scholarships but I am quite sure that these are beneficial for the students.
Campus Life
The Maharaja's College is an Indian government college of higher education. Student's political activities reached new peaks. Student, high quality labs and full supporting sports coaching. Football is the main game.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel Facilities - Hostels were just opposite to college and in the heart of the city. The hostel charges were also very minimal, mess also Rs.200/- per month.in a room only 3 to 4 students were allowed. still with so low pricing it was neat, clean and hygenic.
Alumni/Alumna
Maharajas holds strong alumni networks and MAHARAJAKEEYAM(a program conducted by Maharajas' for alumni) was the best out of it. The senior students of the pass out batches do visit the college often to recapture their memories. They are always a call away for any help.
Admission
The college accepts direct admission for UG courses. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying exams i.e. percentage of marks received in Higher Secondary or any equivalent exam. Application process for the UG courses normally starts in the month of May every year.
Faculty
The faculties are highly qualified since this is a Government Autonomous College. Most of the faculties have either completed their Research Programs or are pursuing their research. There are teachers who are enrolled as Research Guides. They are quite experienced and explains the subjects with the utmost care. They offer you individual care and concern for anything and everything relating to academics.
