S.B College is one of the best colleges in kerala. It offers the best education in the various departments and helps the students to be exposed to practical and field knowledge. The faculty and management are very keen to uphold the dignity of the college and to maintain discipline. The campus infrastructure and the students give an experience of the ideal college campus.

The Course Curriculum is exemplary and thorough. Special emphasis is given to the basic principles of every subject and the curriculum is also up to speed on modern advancements in the different fields of knowledge. The curriculum is also in accordance with the standards of the University and is also a guideline for corrections to the University curriculum. The Exam Structure of the college consists of three standard examinations per semester. They include an In-Semester examination,the Model examination and the End Semester Examination. The marks scored in the In-Semester and Model examinations amount to 50% of the internal marks scored by the students.

Students passing out from the college have more chances of getting jobs than the average college under the University.The college also encourages it students to attend placement drives and the professional courses like MBA assure placement to majority of it's students. No. The college does not offer internships.

The College hosts a variety of events ranging from intercollegiate fests to sports tournaments. The prestigious Fr P C Mathew Memorial Basketball tournament is one of the best and famous Basketball tournaments in the university. S.B College also hosts the No.1 Commerce fest in kerala named Causerie. The different intercollegiate fests include the Berchnova of MBA department,Ezpero of BCom(Self Financing) and Xpressions of English department. The College also conducts national talks and events featuring esteemed dignitaries of different fields of knowledge.

The fees structure is very feasible. It does not pose a handicap to the economically challenged. The fees is not expensive for an average family and the college also offers many scholarships for the economically backward students.

The college offers various scholarships for students who are economically backward. One of the scholarships is the egrantz scholarship offered to students of annual income less than 1 lakh rupees per annum. The scholarship reduces the fees amount to only the application fees and other charges are paid by the scholarship.

The college offers a very good sports quota for students interested in sports. The Physical Education department of the college offers training for sports like football and basketball as well as athletic events like sprint and hurdles. The athletes of the college have scored various gold medals at national level for different events. The college also has well equipped labs for the different subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Microbiology ,etc.

The senior students are very friendly and helpful in both academics and other things. They are always happy to extend help to clear doubts of students. The Alumni are always keen in extending help for the betterment of the college. They are very helpful to the students by expanding the facilities of the college.

The admission process is independent from the the admissions of Mahatma Gandhi University. The admission is through the college website. A unique applicant ID is created and the application details are filled through the website. A print out of the final application is taken and submitted to the college office after verification by the applicant. A provisional rank list is published and a further rank list is published. The listed applicants are scheduled for counseling. During the interview, the certificates are verified and the secondary language choice is opted. The applicant is also given primary instructions of code of conduct of the college.

The faculty of every department are well experienced and are well educated in their respective subjects. They are very hospitable towards students and are always ready to clear the doubts and questions of students. The faculty are also keen in keeping the discipline of the college.
