Nice college, faculty and environment is ideal for an engineering student

Overall our college is one of the best colleges on India but on the recent years its NIRF ranking has been reduced from 3rd to a lower rank but we'll try our best to reclaim its glory. The students here are friendly and cordial and the diverse culture of India makes ot even more interesting.

Course curriculum is somewhat outdated with respect to the modern requirements of Computer science engineers as it needs to be updated. The 4 years are divided into 8 semesters ,each semester being about 4 months long in which regular assessments, tutorials, assignments for 20 marks, practicals for 50 marks and mainly two exams are there Mid semester for 30 marks and End semester exams for 50 marks.

Placements are good as it is a well known government institution and almost every branch has a placement stats about 70 percent and computer science being at about 90% placed with highest about 30lac pa. College provides internships at the end of sophomore year.

Cultural events at the time of festivals are celebrated like GARBA night for all students. Technical fest is named as SPARSH in which many competitions like robowars and workshops are organized. Freshers night is also celebrated. Manoj memorial night cricket tournament is organised as yearwise teams are made and they compete for the trophy.

The tuition fee per semester is about ?60000. The mess fees for one year is ?30000. Hostel fees for whole year is ?15000. This cannot be considered as expensive as many other colleges charge much more than that. Fee remission is also given to students whose family income is less than 5 lacs.

Scholarships are availed by the Indian government. State govt gives scholarships to eligible students of Gujarat. Fee remission is available for students having family income between 1 lac to 5 lacs two-third remission is done. For students having family income less than 1 lac get full fee remission.

Physical education department is there for gym and field i.e. SAC ground is there for football, cricket. Basket ball court, tennis court, badminton court, and other things are available for sports.

Separate hostels are there for every year (except for Girls) as a large hostel for girls of all years. First year Gajjar Bhavan is a long hostel with only 4 floors and the rooms are large enough for 2 students. The hostel is cleaned regularly. First year hostel doesn't have an elevator. 2nd year hostel is of 8 floors with lift this is also like gajjar as one room has 2 students. 3rd year and final year have single rooms in Swami Vivekananda Bhavan.

For this there is an Alumni training and Placement Cell, which has contacts of all the alumni who want to contribute in helping the students for their better future. Senior students conduct seminars from time to time.

Gave the Joint Entrance Exam Mains after 12th boards. Applied for counseling in July by selecting this college with other colleges in a particular list and I got this college from 1st round till 7th round and got admission in end of July.

Faculty of our college is good in every branch of engineering and they are well behaved and can teach the course easily. They take attendance from time to time as 75% is compulsory. They help students in their projects also.
