Positives and Negatives of KCG College of Technology

I have lot of positive remarks like they provide excellent trained faculty and negative remarks like only limited campus interview is provided and since it is a Christian institution, punctuality is maintained very very strict. Other than that the college is excellent compared to other colleges.

I selected Mechanical engineering which is my favorite stream and hence I enjoy all the subjects of my course though they are very difficult compared to any other department subjects but still I consider easy and try to overcome with it.

Implant training is provided to selective students but not all students get the opportunity to attend the internships. Coming to placements, the college provide very poor placement for core fields like aeronautical, mechanical, civil whereas computer science, IT, ECE and E&I are easily placed in software fields.

Lot of events are being celebrated here. Since it's a malayali Christian College, they celebrate Onam, fellowship, Christmas. Also every independence day, republic Day the flag is hoisted and good ceremony is provided.

The most important thing is the fee structure where it has 3 criterias : 1) sports quota (where less fee structure) 2) merit quota (medium fee) 3) management quota (high fee with donation). Some discounts like first graduate also applicable.

I am getting state government scholarship which is less. But still some other students apply for NSP scholarship which is very high is worth every penny. It is selected scholarship scheme. My college provide 3 different scholarship (state government, central government and their own scholarship)

The college always excells in sports. The name and fame of the college is maintained mainly because of sports. And Labs are also well maintained and staffs provide good teaching where students are able to grasp the technical knowledge quickly respective of their native languages.

I haven't stayed either in college hostel nor outside hostle since my house was in the same city I am staying at my home. When you ask my classmates those who stay in college hostel will give very bad review because of less water supply, poor quality food.

Yes the senior students help a lot when coming to education as well as project works. They are very friendly nature where they assist in every kind of activity. In some cases they are like brpthers. Some major projects they stay and spare their time to complete our work.

I got admitted in this college with the help of my merit through Anna university which was very difficult to join here. I got 159.75 cut off marks from my HSC board results with which I got admitted here. Although in this college the highest cutoff marks department is mechanical, that is where I wished to join.

The best faculties I got here. I thank God that untill all these semesters I got the best faculties and really appreciate the college about it because I have heard about other college faculties that they were very strict. But here the faculties are experienced and so friendly nature and help in every situations.
