Remarks

Overall, I have only positive things to say about my college. It has helped me to become a good doctor and a good human being. The teachers, seniors, level of education, facilities, etc are all good here. I would advise anyone who want to become a good doctor to choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

MBBS course is of 4.5 years duration +1 year internship. The curriculum has been divided into 4 proffs. 1st proff we have 3 subjects and is of 1 year duration, 2nd we have 4 and is of 1.5 year duration, 3rd and 4the proff are of 1year each and have 3 and 9 subjects respectively. We have our professional exams conducted by the university at the end of a proff. It contains both objective and subjective questions. At the college level, we have sessional exams after every 6 months which are of only subjective questions.

Placement Experience

4.5

Yes, my college does provide internship. It is of 1 year duration and has to be done after passing final proff. During this period we are posted in all 19 departments in the hospital and we gain as much clinical knowledge that is necessary to become a good doctor. The stipend is around Rs 10,000/ month.

College Events

4

All the major festivals are celebrated in our college. There is conduction of an annual function and sports meet every year. They are a must have experience of the college life. Students from different proffs participate in them and are given prizes for their achievements.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it is a government medical college, the fees is quite affordable. There is also provision of scholarship's for those students who belong to the economically weaker sections but are good in studies.we have to pay separate fees for hostel and tuition per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is being provided to minority students or to those who belong to the economically weaker sections. They are given 100% scholarship. The students belonging to reserved castes are also being provided with a laptop.

Campus Life

3

As it is a medical college who's purpose is to make good doctors, it doesn't give that much focus to the extracurricular activities. However an annual sports meet is held every year for 3-4 Days duration during which students participate in various sports like cricket, football, athletics, etc.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful in this college. They guide us in whichever way possible. They help us in choosing our books, preparing notes, marking important topics for exams, etc. They also treat us if we help them in their work. They are polite and helpful.

Admission

I got admission via an entrance exam. I got the seat in 3rd round of state counseling. The procedure of counseling was quite simple. I just had to bring all my documents like 10th certificate, 12the marksheet, migration certificate, etc. And submit them at 1 counter. At the other counter I had to fill out some bonds. And at the last counter I had to get my biometrics done and submit my fees. I didn't got hostel so I just had to pay the yearly fees.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of my college is far more experienced and knowledgeable than I have seen in other medical colleges. They have a good hold on the clinical knowledge and want all students to excel in the field. Some are strict and some are polite.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all the college faculty and management is very good they teach us each and every topic very easily in a understandable way. Their is also hospital postings to see real life patients and their problems. Their is such good way it is managed that I didn't feel any improvement yet. The exams are held accordingly to the given time table by university and exams are mix of easy, hard and brain storming questions.

Ive always wanted to be a doctor as my uncle is a doctor and ive lived with him for half of my life. Mbbs and especially internship here prepares a medical student for any challanges that he/she might face while being posted in his bond or in PG. Ive already mentioned about the frequency of examinations. As for area of improvements, they should also incorporate rural visits and train us for real life
