Remarks
The MITS is a well known , very old and reputed engineering college within the Gwalior city. It is autonomous college and follows flexible curriculum. The infrastructure and examination system is really very good . The college can provide good academic environment along within many college fests and activities. Still it has lower placements for core branch students and when they are compare with IITs and NITs.
Course Curriculum Overview
MITS is autonomous engineering college. It follows the flexible curriculum which is followed by most IITs. Curriculum is totally based on present requirement of technical knowledge. College offers B. Tech degree which is accepted countrywide. It also offers hons. minor specialization currently. The Feedback on course content and curriculum is taken from students and course is edited on each new session based on Feedback and present requirements . The exam structure follows 2 mid term exams and an end sem exam. Weightage of session exam is 30% and for end sem it is 70%. The practical exams are also there for various subjects followed by internal and external exams having weightage of 40% and 60% respectively.
Placement Experience
The college provide good opportunities for placement. On comparision with other govt. colleges is quite better. Almost all students get placement in CSE department. Many IT companies run on campus recruitment drive each year. Some core companies also visit for electrical and mechanical branches but the number is very less than IT sector companies. The college provide the in-house summer internship for 1st and 2nd year students after final examination of even semesters. It also provides the industrial internship opportunity after 3rd year. Stipend vary from 2k - 10k per month. 3 internships are mandatory.

HAMradio, ISTE, Robotics club etc organise technical events frequently. Numerous seminars and departmental activities are also orgainsed by college itself.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Being Govt. College the Fees structure is feasible but still higher than other govt. Colleges. The fees for 1 year for a student is around 60,000 to 1,00,000 . It varies for branch and year. For govt. run branches as CSE, EE, ECE, ME and CE the fee is less compared to other newly introduced autonomous branches as chemical, E&T, automobile and biotech branches.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides fee waiver for 3-5 students per branch in which they only have to pay examination fee (nearly 10,000 max. Per year) for high JEE Mains scoring students . The TFW students are Selected at the time of counselling. College also provides the govt. aided scholarships for SC, ST and OBC students which is 25K -35K per year.
Campus Life
The college orgainises many seminars and activities each semester in which foreign and faculties from IITs come. Many competitions and workshops are orgainsed by departments. Most Labs are well equiped with sufficient staff. Still some labs are old and having less facilities but college is doing for their maintenance. There are 3 vary large grounds available within the college campus. Within A badminton and two basketball courts. There is average sports opportunities in college. But student clubs organise many competitions every year as Nukkad Cricket etc

The college provides the alumni contacts to us. The institute is having active alumni network consisting CEOs of MNCs to IPS officers. They often come on seminars for guiding. Hence the alumni network is active and good. College has ragging free environment. Students often interract with seniors for guidance.
Admission
I got admission through counselling Process done for Technical courses by DTE(Department of Technical Education) of MP. It is online counselling by govt. for state run engineering colleges. Its wasim based on the JEE Mains marks of the student. There are total of 3 counselling cycles.
Faculty
Almost all the faculties of the institute is post graduated in their respective fields from IITs and NITs. Each department has 5-10 head faculties having 25+ years teaching experience. There is sufficient faculty and staff present. Till now never felt the problem of shortage of faculty. Institute also invites guest faculties from even ISRO and DRDO.
