MLDMCH - A GROWING FAMILY

My college has great overall campus. It certainly is expanding everyday. I love it the way it is and the way it has accepted me. But there are certainly scope of improvements in different fields regarding facilities in hostel and needs more ammount of faculty members.

This is a very good course curricullum continuing for 4.5 years academically with 1 year of mandatory internship in this college. There are 19 subjects overall . Anatomy , Biochemistry and Physiology in first year. Pathology , Microbiology , Pharmacology and Forensic Medicine And Toxicology in second year . Opthalmology , Otolaryngology , Community medicine in 3rd year , General medicine , General Surgery , Dermatology , Orthopaedics, Paediatrics , Anasthesia , Gyanecology and Obstetrics coming in final year.

There are many job placements from my college. Most of the people try for POST graduation. Others can easily get job in nursing homes , try for Bmoh , CMOH , Medical officer and diplomas. There is need of doctors all over our country . So I believe there are ample placements for students out here.

There is a freshers welcome event NEXUS , where the freshers can perform and show their talents. There is a annual cultural festival BEATS where students and faculty members can take part and enjoy in a 4 day memorable festival for a year. Saraswati Puja is also celebrated with grandeur in this educational instituition.

Per semester (9 semesters ) the students have to pay 4500 with a 12 ruppee (per month) for government hostel . There is 600 ruppes of Examination fee for each subject before the each professional examination (4 proffesional examination ) every year.

There is certainly no scholarship for any student in this college but our college offers scholarship for the minority people which is funded by the government . I think there is a need of such scholarships in our course.

There are labs in every departments. But unfortunately our college does not have adequate space for outdoor sports like cricket , football, volley ball, badminton . There is no ground specific for the college . Our college needs to have one such for the proper development of minds here .

The hostel infrastructure is good with properly ventilated rooms and they are well lighted . But I believe there aregreat chances of imprivement of facilities regarding bathrooms, Toilets , Common rooms etc.

They are very helpful. But there is no allumi association till now. But surely it will be formed in near future. Our seniors have helped us in this college and also outside the college. They help us with their experiences and working skill , which I Feel is most impotant for our proffesion.

I gave West bengal Joint entrance examination and got a general rank of 1374 and that is how I secured a seat in Malda Medical College and Hospital in 3rd Round of WBJEE Counselling. I was previously alloted to R ahmed dental college and hospital in first round of counselling.

The faculties of our college are very efficient overall. The take ample time to teach you , to make you able to learn the subject , to conceptualise the hard things which will be very difficult for us to understand .
