Remarks

Positive: 1) Happening place. 2) Filled with opportunities. 3) Reach out to Administration and the student council is very good. 4) Lays stress on mental health. Negative: 1) A very expensive place to live in.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course plan in Manipal is very well defined and it is carried out very elegantly. Before admission any student can view the course plan of any branch he chooses to opt for and take an informed decision.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell in MIT is very active and every year we have some very good companies coming in for placement. Companies also come for recruitment of 3rd year students for summer internship. Major companies include Microsoft, GS, etc.

College Events

3.5

MIT is a college of fests. It has a cosmopolitan environment with students from every part of the country and many from other countries as well. We celebrate all the major festivals and apart from that a lot of events organised by students keep happening in the college. Major events include: 1) Revels- Cultural Fest 2) Techtatva- Tech fest You can google about these two 3) Holi celebration 4) Diwali celebration 5) Durga Puja celebration 6) Pongal celebration 7) Ganesh Chaturthi And many other south Indian festivals as well

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very detailed. It is rather expensive as compared to other Private Colleges of India. The fee for most of the branches is approximately 4 lacs a year. And accommodation can account for another 1.25 lacs per year on an average.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are some types of scholarship available for students during admission. 1) For students who have ranks less than 1000 in MUOET 2) For underprivileged students 3) For students of South Kannada region 4) For students of Konkani family background.

Campus Life

4.5

Manipal is known for it's focus on extra curricular activities. There sre a lot of student clubs and projects working to this end. The sports team and facilities are amazing. MARENA is the biggest sports and gym complex in India. Labs are well equipped and available to students. Many different labs are there, especially for research purposes.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel are of many different types with different fee and for 2nd years and above, it's availability is dependent on the cgpa a person scores. For the good hostels the facilities are amazing which provide a good standard of living.

Alumni/Alumna

Manipal has a very strong Alumini network placed at many different parts of the world. There is a very good platform for the Alumini to connect and the college plays a very vital role in interconnecting them.

Admission

To get admission in any college of MAHE, a student has to give a national level online test and based on the score achieved in that, admission is taken into the college. There are branches you can get depends on the rank you achieve in this test. Councelling Process starts in early June for UG students and then you apply and get a seat here by paying the fee of the first year. After that you just have to come at the time, the college starts in mid July.

Faculty

3

The faculty of this college is branch specific. So I must say that there are some branches like Mechanical, Civil, maths, etc. with excellent faculty. But the other branches, especially ones that are computer related, don't have such great faculty.
