Abhilash Nandan's Review On Central University Of Karnataka - [CUK], Gulbarga

Security,food and climate are big concern. University doesn't show any mercy towards our safety. Climate will get really unbearable during summer. Apart from these Cuk has a good play ground and greenary on apt climate.

Here we follows Choice Based credit system by UGC. We can study subjects of our own interest apart from the core subject by maintaining the credit for each semester. Since it's an autonomous University, teaching, questions preparation, valuation are all done by our own teachers. You will be having internal marks on submitting assignments, taking presentation etc

There's no placement at all in our university. They don't provide internship too. We have to find our own jobs. But our teachers guide us to do internship in a well esteemed organizations. University doesn't provide any financial assistance for any internships or filedworks.

Main event of our university is "Ankur fest" which held annually on February. It's our cultural fest. There will be arts as well as sports competition between different schools, in which both faculties and students compete for their school.Last day of Ankur is more fabulous.

Fee Structure is feasible. There will be a hike in the fees every year. They don't provide good food for what we pay. We get worst food here. Hence actually we wasting our money which is paid for mess food.

There's nothing like scholarship oru loan facility here. We have to take every expenses. But Karnataka state sc-st and all economically backward girls get some benefits while paying fees. They don't even Provide any financial assistance for academic field trip for geology students.

Labs are excellent and we'll occupied with all necessary things. Sports room has to improve a lot. There's will be sports selection for South zone every year. University doesn't encourage any other extra curricular activities much

Campus hostel provide good infrastructure and life. But food is too bad. Ambulance service is also worst. More hostels are also under construction. Temporary hostels are terrible.But let's hope that allotment to new hostels will happen doon

There's no alumni network here. Those who went from here won't even look back to this university. Seniors are helpful in all aspects. And they will give every guidance for getting good academic scores.

Admission is only through cucet exam.if the seats are not filled up, they will conduct open counselling, candidate can participate the open counselling and could be selected to fill the seat. it's not necessary to secure cut off mark to participate in open counselling.There may be 2nd and 3rd open counselling if seats are vacant.

Faculty and teaching is good.you will get good lab and library facilities. Permanent facultys are highly qualified and contractual faculty also provide good teaching. They teaches by using ppt and we can enlarge our knowledge through library.
