Remarks

The academics and other extra curricular activities in the college is excellent. The faculties are also very helpful. The overall comments are positive there is no negative comments. Government medical thrisur is a good college who pursue dream as a doctor

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is MBBS.A 4.5 year cours + 1 year internship. The examinations are conducted yearly. 1st year examination is conducted after one year 2nd examination of conducted after 1.5 year 3rd year examination is conducted after 1 year And 4th year examination is conducted after 1 year

Placement Experience

After completing 4.5 year of academic studies there Is a compulsory one year internship. During which the students will be taught the practising of medicine. During the compulsory internship there will be spend of 30,000 per month

College Events

Each year there will be varieties of events celebrated. Such as fine arts’ intercollegiate arts and sports, classes regarding new instruments used in medical field.etc. In all The events the college union tries to include the whole colleg students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since government medical college thrisur is under government college the fee is feasible. 25000 per year. The hostel fees are also less. Competing to other self financing colleges the government colleges are highly friendly regarding fee structure

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a scholarship provided by both central government and state government which will amount 30k rupees per year. This amount will be equal to the fee structure The college doesn’t directly provide loan but allow through the banks

Campus Life

The labs are off standard types, the sports courts are international levels. There is courts for cricket football volley ball basketball etc. There is a gym fee for the college students. Those are very good

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are very helpful. They are very helpful in every aspects such as during examination times etc. The alumni association is also very helpful to the college. The alumni association always brings new infrastructure to the colleg

Admission

There is an entrance examination in India known as NEET, which is the exam for getting admission in medical colleges in India. Some states like Kerala sort out the ranks of the students in those states from the All India rank and publish there own rank list. And those states publish a merit list and conduct allotment for respective colleges. I got admission like this

Faculty

Faculties are with post graduation Degree and are of highly educated. Normally the government teachers should qualify examination known as psc. So most of the teachers are well qualified. There teaching methods are also of high standards

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.
