Bjb autonomous college

All the facilities in the college are quite satisfying. Being a government funded instituition it is a cheaper alternative for those in quest of quality education. The infrastructure has recently been renewed. Overall it is a well managed institute.

Course curriculum is mostly as per the structure of utkal university. But since it is autonomous, minor variations in syllabus exists. Exam is semester based. End sems 80 marks and mid sems 20 marks.

Since, it doesn't offer technical degree, i dont think it has internship programmes but campus placements are there. Specific to my department, i hear the students are hired by call centres. Owing to the reputation of the instituition, holding a degree from here would appear attractive on one's CV.

This is where the college lacks lusture. Though there are department seminars, college seminars, freshers, farewells and picnics but college elections are irregular. The college celebrates every national observation days such as independence day and offers platform for social programs as well such as plantation campaigns.

Its a government instituition. There isn't any visible fees. I personally had to spend a total of 5000 till my graduation. About the self financing courses, i have heard them to be within affordable range.

I personally haven't availed any such facilities but am aware of numerous such helpful facilities. Scholarships do exist but mostly funded by government. Special facilities exists for the reserved category students, preference in hostel for example.

Labs are well furnished as reported by my friends from science departments. Other practical labs and computer labs are well equiped as well. There is provision for scout and guide students and NCC . College has teams that participate in various tournaments. One can see students playing football and cricket in college playground and basketball in the court.

Alumnis are flaunted on the college website. Such alumni are invited to college functions and motivate the students. The alumnis being all well established is also a confidence boosting factor for the students. Senior students are generally helpful and remain in touch with the students.

Merit list. Based on 12th board marks. Need to apply in the common application form platform provided by the state. Cut off marks released. Admission takes place in 3 stages including the spot selection.

Faculties are very nice. The college has a good reputation and the quality of teaching offered justifies it. The professors are experienced and very cooperative and helpful. The academics are treated way too seriously than other instituitions.
