Remarks
Placement opportunities are okay. Teaching faculty are pretty good. Hostel facility is not good and are untidy. College is located in the outskirts of the city and so it provides free bus facilities. Belgaum's climate is also good.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is good. Exams include internals and external exams wherein the student has to secure minimum of 35 out of 100 in external exams to pass. Paper will be set and evaluated by the department lecturers only.
Placement Experience
There are more placement opportunities for CS, IT & IS branches than core branches. They also provide placement training to final year students. The college also provides internship encourages students to go for internship.Facilities are "okay" and can be improved but placement opportunities for core branches are less. There are more placement opportunities for CS, IT & IS branches than core branches. Boys hostel facility are not good
College Events
One big event is AURA. This event is usually organised in the month of April. It is the biggest event of the year. There are a lot of activities that will happen during this fest. Few other fests are :- Oculus, Panchjanya, CPL, Avalanche etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible fees structure for meritorious students. But for management quota students for 4 years of course the overall expenses would be approximately 8 lakhs(including hostel charges and all expenses)
Fees and Financial Aid
The government of Karnataka provides a scholarship for Karnataka students who have an income certificate of approximately ?18000/year (non OBC). For SC,ST students the scholarship is ?36000/year. The college also provides loan facility .
Campus Life
Electrical engineering labs are good. Sports room is not so spacious but the sports facilities are pretty good as well. Events are well organised in college. Students can get exposure to talent exhibition.
Alumni/Alumna
It depends on the individual person to voluntarily stay in touch with the college. There are no such good alumni association or such. I am not a part of any such association so i do not have much idea about it.
Admission
I got my engineering seat in merit qouta i.e. through KCET entrance examination. GOGTE college also provides students to get admission through COMED-K and also through management quota. For merit qouta, students it's easy to get admission.
Faculty
That depends on the individual person. In my branch there were few good professor and few not so good. Overall i feel for electrical engineering branch the teaching are good. Lab facilities are also available.
