It would take some next level motivation to survive here . If you got no better options in terms of IIT's , NIT's ,BITS or IIIT's you can come here . It may take some time to settle but eventually you will.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is circulated by Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). It's a 4-year course with 8-semester exams. To be honest almost every university's curriculum in India is outdated. So it takes an individual's effort to excel in the domain.
Placement Experience
Well, the best part of ABES EC is placement. Around 260+ companies visit the campus (Don't get charmed by the number as there are many BPO's which visit too). The notable names are Capgemini, TCS, Wipro, Fiserv, Sapient, etc.
College Events
We have an annual techno-cultural fest named GENERO. It is a 3-day fiesta with many technical and non-technical events. Day 2 is DJ night and Day 3 is star night. There are multiple clubs in the college that regularly organize different events. The notable mentions are Minerva - The literary club's Prep up Challenge.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As per as my perception is concerned the fee structure is feasible given that it is a private college. It takes a lot of monetary funds to provide quality education and placements. Though there are some charges which are useless. The fee is around 1.42 L annually.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't have much idea about the loans or Scholarships but the college has tie-up with PNB and there used to be many students who received scholarships based on their family income. It was some Uttar Pradesh scholarship or something like that!
Campus Life
The whole idea if extra curricular activities started from 2nd year as the first year was solely dedicated to score high percentage which in turn would determine the rank of the college in the university. It has got a flood lit stadium and a swimming pool and guess what ! The swimming pool is not free for students
Hostel Facilities
Yes I did opted for the hosted and could survive only for 2 years . The quality of living isn't worth the money . The single room was around 99,500 which was okayish but the standard of food was shit.
Alumni/Alumna
We have a AAA (ABES alumni Association) which is an organization of all the pass out students from the college . The senior junior relationship also used to be fine until my second last year before the culture was ruined .
Admission
I appeared for UPSEE ( Uttar Pradesh state entrance examination). Got a rank of 13749 and 997 other state rank. Appeared for online counseling and filled the choices. Currently, the college is at 1st rank among 750* colleges so the required rank may vary as I appeared in 2016. After counseling, I was allowed ECE in ABES Engineering College.
Faculty
When it comes to faculties the answer is subjective . In the first year there is a separate department of applied science and Humanities . You'll come across various faculties of great expertise in their respective fields. The possibilities of finding some sick minded faculties are also there in the higher years. :p
